Easily my favorite teach that I have had here at UF. Very knowledge plus teaches good information that you really want to learn. Has a good amount of assignments but if you do your work and put in the effort theres no reason you shouldnt get an A. Awesome teacher, wish I could take again.

Good guy. Attendance is required-syllabus says it is taken daily, but in reality it was taken at random class periods. There are frequent writing assignments, all of which feel useful for pre-law students. Note that there are several spoken debates in this class. I feel like Greer has effectively prepared me for legal writing courses in law school.

So there are main projects for this class and he tells you ahead of time that they take a lot of time; however, they take way longer than you think. The class is interesting, but there are many assignments that require many hours of attention. There are also debates so make sure you're at least a little comfortable speaking in front of others.

I had him for pre-law writing honors and it was a great class! He gives very useful feedback and is willing to let you revise for a higher grade. If you are thinking about going into law, this is a great course to help you! I enjoyed this course and the professor!

Very full of himself. Makes up grades most of the time. Hardly ever gives back papers and usually they are without any written comments. Most of what we learned I had to re-learn to do the correct way. I learned what a legal brief was.. but not how to write a real one.

Dr. Greer really knows his stuff. He's challenging, but not at a crazy level and he's definitely willing to help you out. If you're looking for a class you can skip whenever, don't take it but if you're looking for a class you'll get something out of, then take him.

Honors pre-law is a very helpful class for students thinking about law school. Expect to do a LOT of writing and out-of-class research, but if you do it all with at least moderate effort you'll likely get an A. If you go to Dr. Greer's office hours he'll let you revise most assignments until you get a B+ or A. He's a nice guy too.

For pre-law anyway, you'll get an A if you do the work. Some posts say he's got an ego but hes always seemed like a great guy to me. Also a lot more flexible if you go to his office hours than if you just hit him up after class when everybody's trying to get to him.The class was really helpful in deciding whether or not to go Pre-law. RECOMMENDED

I took writing for Pre Law and I thought it was a good class overall. The legal research assignment was helpful (except for the reference librarians in the law library). The only complaint is that most people who take the classa are freshmen and he requires you to fill out a law school application/personal statement which seems pointless this early

I took the legal writing and if you want to go to law school, you must take this class. You learn about briefs, memos, law school applications, legal research, and more. Dr. Greer may have something of an ego, but for good reason. He's a great, clear, and focused teacher. Just know that the pre-law section is a bit competitive! Highly recommended.

Very knowledgable and humble when it comes to law. May be picky about the wrongs things when it comes to grading papers. Overall, he respects bright minds and gives them the benefit of the doubt - huge plus. Easy A if you can debate and write a decent brief every now and then.

Writing for PreLaw - AMAZING CLASS WITH EQUALLY AMAZING TEACHER! Favorite class at UF so far. Dr. Greer is very clear, funny, and helpful for students. The assignments were insightful and fun too, especially the legal memo project. If you want to pursue law, take this class, it's great!

I was in the writing for engineering section, and I do not recommend taking it with him. Take Tech writing and save yourself the trouble. He took 2 pts off out of 20 for not stapling neatly. Very egotistical man.
