Her online film class was so much fun. I got to watch films that I would not have even thought about watching if it were not for her class. She divides the genres for films each week, so you are never really watching the same type of film. After that, you type up a response in her discussion forum. Wish I could take another one of her classes.

I took her Media 05 online and it's a very easy class to pass. Submit all work on time and you can be finished early. She does not accept late work and there is no extra credit, but the points are very flexible. Over 100 extra points given so some assignments can be missed without issue. Most movies are older movies which can be found on Netflix.

Take this professor! It's really hard not to get an A in her class unless you didn't care about turning assignments in, and even then, extra flex points are available of you decide not to turn some stuff in.

No tests! Isn't that amazing! All the points were from discussions. You can also finish the course 1 month in advance! I pretty much did all the discussions ahead of time and coasted the last month. She is pretty thorough on her discussion criteria but pretty much, one of the easiest class I've taken. You do have to work but its just simple reviews

This class is an easy A, but it is a little time consuming. You can miss 120 points and still get an A!! Assignments are due at 11:45pm on Sundays and she's finished grading by noon on Monday so you know she doesn't even read them. I really didn't like that but I always got full credit so who cares.

This class is a super easy A, I took it online over the first summer quarter along with two other courses (10 semester units total) and was able to finish early with an A. You use the textbook once on the midterm and the final (if you haven't finished the course already) I really recommend this course!!!!

Online class: Professor is lenient on grading. 200 points out of 320 for an A. 2 forum posts each week for 2 movies. I finished a month early and got an A. It's a bit time consuming to watch 2 movies and write about them but finishing early was worth it. Be sure to turn things on time because she doesn't allow late submissions, no exceptions.

Take this class for the easy A. Make sure to do the film reviews every week or she will drop you. As long as you post a film review a week online you will have a guaranteed A. To be honest there were a few times throughout the quarter when I asked for clarification for an assignment or the syllabus and she was not helpful at all. Anyway, EASY A

I took this as an online course. This professor is very helpful and has a lot of interesting things to say, regarding the material covered in this course. It's a great class to take for fulfilling undergrad requirements.

Nice Teacher. Only requires partial participation for an A. Only takes away few points even if you do something wrong like forgetting to proofread your assignments.

There are 4 speeches (1-narrative, 1-demonstration, 1-information,1-TBA) and the final is a short essay. Homework assignment is reading 1, or 2 chapters. Textbook is very easy to read. She grades speeches very easy if you follow her outlines she gives before hand. It is a perfect class to take in Summer. Highly recommend!

Suggest caution; seems nice on surface but appears to have some personal issues that can trigger passive-aggressive reactions.

Took her class online with minimal film interest and got a lot from it and a better appreciation of film. Everything is clear and the grading is really fair. Take the class, you'll like it.

I took her History of Film class this semester and it was really cool. You do have to get Netflix or some other movie rental for the duration of her class, and there are required films and films you get to watch and review each week. It sounds like a lot but the class was cool and easy to get an A in.

The professor can be opinionated on certain subjects, and she won't let it go. She doesn't put much effort in guiding the on-line discussions, didn't add much value either. She is an easy grader, too easy I think. The textbook was good, but a bit out of date.

I thought that she was hard to please when she would go over speeches and her requirements were hard to go by. Her class was nervewracking but fun to hear other people's speeches. I missed one speech and wound up with a C but all my other speeches I got a Bt. I thought that even if I worked really hard I didn't get enough credit for it.

Her class revolves around three speeches, each of which are pretty straightforward - follow the speech layout carefully. The first few weeks involve learning the techniques, but after that there are three rounds of speeches which can become a bit repetative, but that's what the class-type lends itself to. Recomended, but check for transferability.

You will get exactly the grade you work for in her online film class. She operates on a cummulative point system, so you can stop when you are happy with your grade. Open book quizzes, online discussions, watching movies and reading the book -that's it. The movies are great and she's really enthusiastic. Best online class I've taken.

I took the American Cinema online class this summer. I learned so much more in this class than I expected! The instructor is great and very personable, even through an online course. The lectures and online materials are very well organized. Easy A if you keep up with all the material (mostly watching great movies) One of my favorite classes!
