Comment:

Dr. Cory is one of my favorite professors at FSU. She pushes for creativity and won't take no for an answer. While she can be a little irritable and scatterbrained at times, her class is totally worth sitting through a few angry rants (we all have our bad days). Love, love, love her and her class! Take it!

Comment:

Best class I had. Learned a lot about writing,writers and poetry. Dr. Cory is my favorite professor at this point. Almost eveyone in the class loved how fresh the teaching was. For a change I felt like I got what I paid for. She expects you to do the work and its worth it if you do. More students should take this class who want to be writers!

Worst teacher ever. Seriously she is bi-polar and depressed and she takes it out on her students. Didnt learn anything about poetry and is very unclear about how she grades, i think she gives A's the the people she likes.

Dr. Cory is why students major in English and go to college. Every class has one or two fools who refuse to read the material,show up late or fail to come at all. Dr. Cory is an actual professor whose intention is to teach you.If you are in school for some other reason don't come to her class! The class this fall was five stars!(*****)

I hated this woman. I got an A in the class, although I had the distinct impression she hated me from beginning to end. She wasn't above forcing me to sit in front of the class and having the class berate me for not liking the subject material. She also kicked another student out of class for disagreeing with her. She's useless as a teacher and

Dr. Coreyhas questionable teaching practices. She allows the students to run the discussion, and gives no guide to it. She is very intimidating, and is not afraid to call on the quiet student, and make them act in front of the class. If you want to learn do not take her class...you never know how you are going to do.attend. very mandatory!!!

Dr. Cory is awesome. She runs her tests equivalent to her teaching style. So if the class is based on discussions of the novel, read the book, discuss the novel in class, and expect to dicsuss the novel in writing for her tests. I enjoyed the books we read and her bubbly teaching ability.

Very scatterbrained; jumps from topic to topic constantly. Doesn't tell you what you need to know for tests or gives any kind of review, just tells you to read the notes. Doesn't actually teach, just holds discussion groups based on student's opinions. Impossible to study for her class.

Stressed out. Wierd but interesting. Definitely has personality. Very intelligent. Intimidating. Some times shuts students down and makes them feel stupid. Very strong opinions, but speak up and she'll respect yours.
