He is one of the worst professors EVER. He is very confusing, loses his train of thought several times during his lecture, doesn't know where is own numbers come from. He does not give you enough time for his tests, and he does not give partial credit. He will literally laugh in your face when you do poorly. I don't understand how he is a professor

Kent is the type of professor that makes you want to transfer to a different school to get your degree because his classes give you nothing. Given test that don't give you enough time to complete. stands in front of the board and lists numbers and answers but doesnt explain how they where gotten or what they mean. Final is 40% of your grade as well

Avoid Kent if you have the option. Class wasn't all that difficult, not a ton of work, just studying before tests. He is incredibly boring and ineffective. Tests were difficult, online quizzes were easy. Basically one quiz per chapter, one group project, three tests and a cumulative final.

This is whats wrong with some of Brockport accounting professors. They are very smart, reputable and know what theyre talking about but absolutely cannot TEACH which is what they are paid for. TERRIBLE

Terrible teacher. He knows his stuff, but has no idea how to teach it. Talks down to students and gave little to no instruction. I dropped the class and took it with the other prof the next semester - I ran into 5 students who failed with him and got an A with the other professor.

Dr. Kent is one of the most knowledgeable professor I have ever had. I have never learned more in any class than I did this one. It is a very challenging class and you will probably need to put in about 9 hours a week in order to get an A/!-. He wants you to succeed and is a good guy. People don't like him because it is far from an easy A.

Probably knows more about accounting than any professor I've had, that being said, he cannot teach Turned back to class to not have to answer raised hands,and couldn't hear him. Poor explanation of assignments. Half class dropped,whats left doing so poorly he started dropping scores, adding ex credit and made final open book to pad class avg.

He is a great guy and im sure would be be nice on a personal basis. You can tell he knows the content but he doesn't know how to each it well. Our first test had a class average of 69 he used extra credit to raise it to an 85.

He is a nice guy and tries to crack jokes but when it comes to this class he doesnt teach it well. He knows what he is doing but is not good at teaching us how to do it. He jumps around doesnt let us know what we are doing, he just does it. Anyone can read an answer key to a class and that is what he does.
