Dr. Basinger is amazing! Would definitely take her class if you ever have the chance. Journals aren't hard and tend to be super helpful and relevant. She genuinely cares about every student, takes the time to get to know each person, and wants to help in any way that she can. She is literally the best. Love her! 10/10 Recommend. Plus, easy A!

Professor Basinger is the best teacher I have ever had. She is caring, pushes you, and is so easy to work with. She challenged me in my writing and speaking abilities. Her class was easy to pass, with multiple grades entered. She was also my advisor and I kind of wish she could be my teacher for literally everything. Everyone in my class loved her.

She's the professor you want being new to Samford and being a freshman. She does a good job getting you out in the city and helps you meet other people. She took us to Vulcan and got us all lunch at the end of the semester. She's so nice and you can go back to her at any time and she will help you. Everyone should take her foundations class!

Foundations was an awkward experience. We were forced to make friends and learn all about Birmingham, which if you're a resident, is VERY boring. Possibly one of the most boring and useless classes I have ever taken. Mrs. B is a very nice caring person, but I would never in a million years suggest this class to any incoming freshmen. #Useless

Prof. Basinger is one of my favorite Professors. She is very helpful and willing to meet with you outside of class if needed. She teaches you a lot of speeches, paper, and MLA format laying the ground work for future classes. Overall she has a welcoming personality which makes the class better.
