Comment:
Had Barbezat for ECON-111. He is too smart for his own good. Great guy, very friendly and understanding, but he is a very incoherent and disorganized lecturer; that is, no powerpoint or lecture notes or rigid structure. He basically floats from one topic to another and does so in a confusing manner. Generally would not recommend for ECON-111.

Barbezat is very funny and pretty quirky. Like everyone else says, he is sort of disorganized but that didn't bother me that much. He is very accessible and helpful in his office hours. Intro econ is super difficult as it's both micro and macro and full of people who have already taken some econ. All based on tests and a hard curve

Must read textbook to understand lectures. Does not use PowerPoints so notes have to be precise. Can get off topic and is hard to follow at times.

Wonderful professor, so intelligent and also knows when to admit he needs to do more research before answering a question. A little absent-minded with administrative things, but that doesn't detract from the course whatsoever.

Great professor, very interested in the topic he's teaching. You will definitely not get bored during lectures but he's pretty unorganized and covers material fairly quickly so if you don't keep up it's easy to get lost amongst all the readings. He was also very helpful during office hours.

The workload in his class is crazy-- we had both a final paper and a final test, and the former took me nearly 30 hours to write. That being said, he's a pretty entertaining lecturer (I was never bored in his class). He's not always easy to understand, but if you go to his office hours and really spend a lot of time with the material it's alright.

My cousin, who teaches at Bridgewater State U. highly recommended the professor. It was the best advice. I not only learned about economics, but I learned about the psychology driving our economy. Also, I come from a highly conservative and observant religious home and he seemed to be open to everyone; yes even me, a student who is NOT an Obama man

Great guy, loves to talk about his subject in and out of class. He's not an easy grader, but goes slow in class and will give as much extra help as you need. Not THAT much homework either.

Genuinely attentive to his student audience, delivers entertaining lectures and is easy to talk to/approach. Sometimes doesn't teach a model with supreme clarity, but knows his stuff and lectures on a mid to high level.
