He is decent for non-majors and in the intro class, but he has always been a ticking time-bomb. He doesn't explain things well & gets angry if you misunderstand. Homework was a minimum of 3 hours a night, most of it was useless. All of his material was ripped off his grad-school experience and hasn't been changed in 20+ years. I hated this class.

He may seem a bit dramatic at times, but that is because he is very passionate about his work. Don't miss class unless you absolutely have to. Do the reading. He may overreact to things going wrong. Everyone forms their own opinions on him. At times he's rather enjoyable, but at others he's a bit aggravating. Get involved with the class.

Dude's a nut, but he's super entertaining. I've had mixed reviews from his more advanced students, but he's pretty lax in his intro class. Attendance is strict, but the work is really easy until the final project. Seriously, it's like one of the easiest classes until I've taken at Hendrix. Also, I actually learned some stuff!

I majored in theatre, and despite Danny's obvious trying his hardest to be a roadblock in my education, I managed to teach myself through experience with other talented students in productions.

Danny is completely unconcerned about how others feel and is very unmotivational in his approach to "teaching." He is a killer of dreams, and an utter stigma to the Hendrix College Community. Be sure to visit his "Great Hall of Danny" where he proudly displays his own work rather than the work of his students--its enough to make you sick.

One of the most miserable teachers I've ever had. Talks to his students like 4th graders and expects extreme participation for a boring class. His wishy-washy attitude keeps any semblance of class discussion from occurring and the class becomes 50 mins of awkward avoidance of the man's childish questions. Definitely a class that I would never recommend. Even if you do impeccably on the exams and assignments, it doesn't necessarily mean anything towards your final grade.

This guy makes life miserable for everyone around him. He has a lot of knowledge but is very difficult to deal with. To echo a comment made earlier: he definitely makes life difficult on majors. Most of my class is not going into theatre because of him and Ann Muse's unfair treatment. Horrible experience. Avoid at all costs.

Professor Grace has a dedicated work ethic to his passion. That being said, he makes life miserable for non-theater majors as his workload is insane effectively turning them away from these studies. Furthermore, he makes life difficult on the majors as well, thus resulting in burnout. As a non-major I often felt "picked on" by Professor Grace.

The class was great, but Dr. Grace really wasn't. He wasn't helpful and was pretty unfair. One day I missed class, and even though I had a note from my doctor, he wouldn't accept my absence as excused and refused to let me make up the missed work. Turned me away from drama forever.
