I loved Prof. Tress. The workload is relatively low, but study for the quizzes. They are all short answer and she looks for specific descriptions. However, she is very engaging and made philosophy fascinating for me, so you really learn a lot. She probably my favorite professor at Fordham. Even if she has a bad time, TAKE HER.

Prof. Tress is a true gem. Sweetest lady ever and she'll love you if you're interested in the subject. No tests but two short quizzes, two short papers and one long paper. She is really helpful during office hours and really approachable. You do have to read but if you do you'll get an A. She made me interested in philosophy. Take her!!

OMG I LOVE HER!!!TAKE HER!!! She's the best! Not a lot of readings and they are interesting, you can find most of them in the library. She's so nice and make difficult philosophy concepts so easy. There are quizzes but she grades them so gently. If you do the reading and participate you can have a guarantee A. Best wishes to you professor Tress

Dr. Tress is a really nice lady. She has intelligent lectures and the readings are always appealing. However, this course somewhat revolves around favoritism. If you are on her good side she will reward you with better grades as it can be rather subjective. She seems nice but be careful about your grades with her. I dropped from an A to a C+.

Dr. Tress is a sweetheart. She does keep class late a lot which is irritating, but she is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely take her! Only a few quizzes and graded hw assignments, midterm, final, and long paper. And she gives a really easy extra credit assignment. Hope I can take her again!

Great professor. Had her for Philosophy of Human Nature as a freshman and took her again for Philosophical Ethics as a sophomore. She is very understanding and always willing to help. She also lets you right about anything you want. I wrote my final for freshman philosophy about Star Wars and got an A+. Everyone should have her at least once.

I took Philosophic Issues in Feminism with Professor Tress. She is a really good professor. Quizzes are a little specific but she explains the material fully and makes taking notes really easy in class. She's very nice and helpful and seems interested in the material and in students.

She's not as easy as others make her out to be. I found sometimes she wasn't clear about what she expected on tests and sometimes expected too much in terms of full quotes from books. She's nice and class can be interesting just don't go in expecting an easy A like I did. You do have to work hard to get a good grade.

She is an absolute sweetheart! While the class is easy, she's really open-minded and not at all judgmental, so if you want to write something experimental or original on your papers she'll be interested as long as you back up your argument. Thus, she's rare in that she's great for majors and non-majors alike. I can't recommend her enough!

Professor Tress is outstanding. I had her this spring semester and I am forever grateful. She really strives to make the course both interesting and comprehensible. Philosophy can sometimes be a very dense subject, but she's very clear in lecture and is always available during her office hours. TAKE HER! Easy to get an A if you do what she asks

Prof Tress is awesome. Really easy- just take notes. Dont even have to do most of the reading because she gives a summary per book. Philosophy sucks but Tress is a sweetheart. Visit her during office hours and you'll be her fave!
