Dr Paulson is the best teacher I have has at USF. He is truly knowlegable on the topics pertaining to Political Science. The lectures can be tedious, but you will learn a lot and not have to worry about the book. He really cares about his students. It's a shame he is retiring, a real asset to USF and his students!

I'm not going to lie, Paulson's lectures are real snoozers. However, there is something truly endearing about the guy. He loves politics and is able to teach in such a way where he does not impose his opinions on you. I would take him again in a heartbeat!!

Easy class, attendance was somewhere between mandatory and not. Have a reason and don't go crazy skipping and you'll be okay. In this class he didn't use the book at all and we had a take-home paper for the final. Don't expect this in any other class. Decent prof, loves to talk and likes in-class discussion and arguments (between students).

Great Professor, very knowledgeable about the material & can add much in terms of his own insight. Often appears on TV for interviews. Very nice guy. He has a good sense of humor about the subjects he teaches. I've had him for a few classes and enjoyed them all.

The class I took with this Professor was not easy, but I learned a lot & he actually changed my mind about a few issues. He is tough but extremely fair. He even gave an those of us who stuck around through the whole class one night an extra 10 pts. His tests can be tough, but I got an A so I can't really complain. Overall a good experience.

He was verr smart. He gives a lot of reading and lecture notes. You must do readings. I recieved A in the 6 classes I had him in. His test are real kickers. Do not take his class just to get an elective done with. You will work hard.
