Beware of this prof. He came back from retirement to teach and clearly lost some abilities. He knows stats but FAILS to teach everything in a way that is informative. Everything is handwritten and is next to illegible. Prepare to be confused throughout the entire course due to the fact that he rushes through the material. Only 2 tests. Unfair grade

Your grade is based on the first test, the second test, and the final exam- and the homework score only if it will help you. Stats should be easy but he makes it difficult. I do not recommend him for stats unless you had a stats class in high school. He is very helpful if you attend office hours- although he did not have many time slots available.

Super easy class (as a bio major taking a math class). Stenson explains things clearly and is willing to meet with students outside of class - nice guy. Didn't study at all for the first exam and got a 98. Had to study a bit more the rest of the semester, but not too bad.

If your not good at math, get a tutor immediately- and a private one if that. Be nice to ur teachers asst and they will go easy on you w/ homework. Overall, this prof is the best pick, but don't expect any sympathy from him if you do bad. Very by the book! Attendance is not mandatory, but go anyways because it looks bad if you dont.

He takes some getting used to. There's no doubt he's very nice, and he more than willing to help, but he's just kinda silly during class. Makes mistakes on the board, but it only makes for a bit of fun when he realizes it. Homework is regular, class is pretty boring, but it is math. Overall, he's nice, he's helpful, I recommend taking him.

New class just added MT 167. Great class for a great teacher to teach. Attendance not mandatory but you have to go and take notes because he will walk you through everything for the homework and test in class. Wants everyone to do well and will help you so so much if you just go to his office hours! Great professor!!

Dr. Stenson's lectures are easy to follow and his homework, although time-consuming, is do-able. If you pay attention in class and do the homework, you should come away from the class not only with a good grade but also with a great understanding of the material.
