best course for improving your writing and gives good feedback. phenomenal lecture and good discussions. readings are tough, everything is tough as an intro course, but totally worth it. I feel as if I can still apply what I learn even one semester away, also, go to his office hours and he is soooooooo approachable. Can't praise him more.

My first two classes were both upper level ones during my senior year, and I really regret not having taken any sooner. He's extremely helpful and encouraging. What others may think as "unclear" in assignments is just him letting us explore our own ideas and come to our own understandings and applications of ideas.

Best teacher that I have ever had. He will never lecture and instead leads class in a seminar format. Everything is a discussion so do the readings, think about them, and show up to class ready to talk about them. He cares a lot about his students, if you are struggling he will work for you, but you do have to put some time into him. Da Best Eva.

An incredible professor. He knew everyones name by day 3. No one can lead a discussion like Blaney. He'll take your comment and connect it to something related no matter what. Really is no such thing as an unearned A. He will be one of the hardest profs you'll have but its really really worth it. (And I generally consider myself a slacker)
