SO NICE! You're graded on 4 essays based on different philosophers he's chosen to focus on. Incredibly easy to do, he respects if your ideas are different from his own as long as you do a good job of backing it up. Would take again for sure. He's understanding about accepting late work. Don't have to go to every class to pass. Take if possible!

Dr. Blitz isn't the most exciting lecturer, but you'll glean information if you pay attention. The class itself was a very easy A, if you're into that sort of thing.

Very kind and understanding teacher. Class is fairly easy but if you are not interested in this subject it is slightly more challenging. Assigns a few papers, quizzes and the mid term and final, all fairly easy. SOLIYA credit is mandatory and a bit frustrating. We watched a lot of movies in this class. Overall easy to pass.

Blitz is a nice person/very friendly, but I'm sorry. This class was so boring and I learned very little. Didn't follow the syllabus at all so we never knew when he was going to assign certain assignments promised. Class discussions were very interesting though and Prof. Austads lectures were the best part of this course.

Blitz is a great guy, but a little boring as a professor. Might just be because the class was on Bertrand Russell and a required part of the honors curriculum, but his lectures usually dragged. Available for help, tries to be funny (sometimes succeeds), and work was relatively easy.

You watch a movie and complete an impossibly easy worksheet, which counts for attendance, everyday. If you need an extra class in a tough schedule take this. Its relaxing watching the movies and you generally will get out early. Quizzes online after every movie. (google) ;)

Took phil 135 online with him. No textbook, just links to online notes and stuff to read. Assigns you several essays throughout the semester and grades them harder than you'd expect from an elective class. He's not a bad teacher, but if you need a course from this study area for an elective, choose someone else.

Had Professor Blitz for Honors thesis preparation. He's a very knowledgable guy, seems to know a little bit of everything. He's very friendly, laid back, and an overall very easy professor. This class is no stress at all, with just 4 simple assignments you have to worry about for the whole semester.

War and Peace through Film is an easy yet VERY interesting class. I recommend you to take the class not because it's "easy" but because the subject matter hits close to home. I shed a tear every class. Professor Blitz on occasion would lecture and he is a knowledgeable individual on the subject matter.

War and Peace through Films. If you go to class and watch the movies its easy to get good quiz grades. The whole class is online and in class quizzes on the movies from class. No lectures. The final is an easy paper answering questions about peace studies using examples from the movies. Interesting class! Easy way to boost your GPA.

Great teacher, great class. Not the greatest professor in the world, missed 5 classes, doesn't get back to you, seems a little too busy for the paper work. Other than that he has a wealth of information and is great and delivering it.

Blitz is a great professor. I had him for peace studies and it is a class where if you aren't interested, you aren't going to do well. He teaches it very well and while it is slightly challenging for a 100 level course, you won't regret taking it. Blitz is great and I hope to have him again!

Interesting class, material can be difficult but if you go to class, pay attention and take notes you should be fine. He takes forever to get tets and papers back to you, at least a month. He never updates his website, when you ask him to post something he says he will but he still doesn't. If you take his class be prepared to ride his ass a little

Great guy. Team teaches with prof Austad in both of my peace studies classes. He kind of leaves the paper assignments up to you to do whatever you want with them. Great if you're interested in researching things . We watched plenty of movies and he's just a great guy who likes to let class discussion occur while he sits back and adds every so often

Horrible class, it was boring and he did not teach me a thing. Tough grader, and instead of making the class interesting he made it the most boring class I have ever taken. He was unclear and not a good teacher. Dont take it if you are exspecting a easy class. He is a nice person just not a great teacher.
