He can be a little strange at times, but he's actually a really nice guy. If you just talk to him and get on his good side, it'll help you in the end. A lot of lectures went off topic for a good duration of time and he's not the most clear. Exams are trickier than you would expect but not hard. Get the textbook and make sure to read it well.

Horrible professor who goes off topic 99% of the time. Do not take him if youre an ACCT major bc you will be screwed after if you take a prof who knows what hes talking about. Gives review the day before which are questions directly from the test so show up for that and easy A. Keep in mind an A doesnt mean you learned anything though. GL

90% information discussed in class has nothing to do with accounting. I wish i read the reviews first they are 100% correct. Makes personal remarks about students. I felt violated by his behaviour.

Erlach shouldnt be a professor at all. I didnt learn one thing in this class so if you need the information for your major and future classes please take someone else. Im failing a class now because of how behind I am on material Bc I didnt learn anything in his class. It was a huge waste of time and I wish I could retake it with someone else.

Don't listen to the bad comments. He just likes to talk. This professor basically gives you the test during his review. Those who didn't show up to the review probably got a bad grade because of it. The homework is not collected. He goes over the homework in class which is a good chance for you to get some practice. The exams come with a curve.

Cool guy, bad professor. Always just talks about stuff not related to material and jokes around too much. Tests are MC, with review day prior. Curves so its hard to fail. Won't bother to follow up with you at all if you email him.

Professor Erlach is a great dude but a horrible professor. Don't expect to learn anything in class, get ready to learn everything by yourself. The tests have a lot of mistakes and the curves is a lot. You won't fail the class but you just learn nothing in the end.

If you want to just want to pass Accounting 101 then take him. If you want to learn something about Accounting then please don't. I have to educate myself by reading the book and watching YouTube videos. He curves lot of points but I really wanted to learn accounting, not just get a grade and leave.

Professor Erlach is a nice guy. Although if you want get a good grade on his class, get ready to teach yourself accounting the whole semester. He barely teaches in class, most of the time of his class his about his personal life and things nothing to do with accounting. He gives curve on exams. If you are an accounting major, do not take him.

He's such a nice guy but he rambles about things that has nothing to do with the class. Only way to pass is read on your own. He takes attendance and makes it clear you have to come but being there feels like such a waste of your time. Avoid at all costs if you don't want to teach yourself.

This accounting is the worst class in Queens College, after taking him you will learn nothing. Throughout the semester you will get only one printed copy, everything was handwriting. He just talking in the class and force us to do stupid things, only 1/4 of the time he is teaching. Best to avoid.

Not the easiest of A's because you actually have to read the textbook to do well in his class. Fortunately I did better in his 102, then I did in his 101. He's really a nice guy and wants people to pass his class. I wish he wouldn't go off topic every class session, also not bug out about cheaters. He really gets vexed about cheaters.

He's a nice man, yes. Can be funny at times. NOT a good professor at all. DO NOT take him if you want someone to teach you accounting. Not worth your tuition money. If his class is the only one open during registration, I'm sorry for you. 88% of class is him wasting everyone's time with awkward jokes and stories. Just read the textbook and pray.

I'm currently taking him right now. I feel as if we haven't been utilizing class lecture time very effectively. He wastes alot of time cracking corny jokes. He's a nice guy, but i feel as if he slacks off way too much. Everyone says he's an Easy A. I've just been self teaching with the textbook. As an accounting major I don't recommend taking him.
