Comment:
The worst professor I've ever had. To say the least, he does not take criticism well. I would strongly recommend against trying to correct a mistake he makes at any point (in lecture or otherwise). He will take personal offense and hold it against you for the rest of the semester.

Test Heavy is the best way to describe this class, although its not outlined in the grading criteria you're grade will be decided entirely by your tests. The final isn't as bad as it seems, but do not have a bad day on a midterm as it will cost you your final grade. Very clear and direct professor, definitely full of himself but you'll get over it.

Comment:
Professor Foster a high opinion of himself, and a lot of his decisions and actions are guided by his own ego. He tries too hard to appear intelligent, often brags about how he likes to solve equations in his free time, and purposely obfuscates questions and material. He also acts like a brofessor, maybe so students will like him more. I dunno.

Great professor. Clearly intelligent and well-read, but also expects a certain level of effort on your part. Homework isn't a large portion of the grade, but is critical to understanding the problems on exams.

This class is k, but the final was quite challenging. It also requires a lot of time doing HW. A lot of people think Prof. Foster is a good guy but I can definitely feel that he is kinda biased against students whose English are not their first language.

I came into this class thinking I was going to hate it. Instead, it turned into my favorite class thanks to Foster. His lectures are incredibly detailed and engaging, and seriously help you learn. He spends time after every class just answering students' questions. Incredibly helpful and friendly. Best prof I've had in my two years here.

Foster is an amazing lecturer! Very clear and organized, but if you don't go to class you don't get his notes. Gives lots of homework that if you do yourself and actually understand the tests aren't bad. Always willing to answer questions or go more in depth. Gives real world applications to make it more interesting. Best professor I've ever had.

Learned a lot in Fluids. He's very passionate about the subject and does a good job explaining tough material. Tests are tough but if you do the homework, go to office hours, and study you'll be fine.

Great teacher and knows his stuff for sure. This is a really difficult class but necessarily difficult given the subject manner (Transport is really hard everywhere according to friends I have taking it at other universities). Foster is approachable and his lectures are fast paced and give you what you need to understand the material.

This professor might have good verbal communication skills, but that is it. He tries to make himself seem like an expert, who is really into it. His answers, to questions are brief and lack any depth. He assigns the same homeworks and solutions are typed over from other sources. He simply copies the book over onto the board. Too superficial.
