Attendance is mandatory. Can only miss 4 lectures before grade deduction. He's a nice and funny man. Pay attention in lecture and take somewhat decent notes and you will be fine. The article readings are the most important thing though. Will help out extremely for midterm and final. Little homework, and could opt out of final.

This prof makes you feel like you're back in high school, literally. He acts like he's the principal, and you're a lowly pee-on that he grudgingly has to grade. His grading is largely subjective. If he doesn't like you, you'll get a bad grade. I learned very little if anything from him.

David Frayer makes you feel like you are in an high academic setting and that the world is your oyster. He is an excellent teacher and allows the student a hands on approach to learning. He's also funny and a classy dude! I had a very positive experience in this Human Osteology class!!

Very difficult and challenging class. Requires a lot of work outside classtime. That being said, he's one of the best professors I've had anywhere, let alone KU, and I learned a great deal. It was a lot of fun and very rewarding.

Attendance was not mandatory or a part of our grade. I turned in and did well on all coursework but on finals week he asked me to meet with him and said I would be lucky to pass the class because I was so disrespectful by not attending lecture...so go to class if you don't want to piss him off even if he SAYS it's not a part of the grade.

Dr. Frayer is my advisor. He is, in a word, awesome. He lets you use your notes on most tests / quizzes (ANTH 104). In Osteology, the weekly quizzes were challenging but VERY helpful...we got to use notes on the final, too! Some are intimidated by him, but when you get to know him, he is so nice! He throws nice parties, too...not kidding!

One of the best teachers here. Very clear, and makes what we call "Frayerisms." Just don't read the paper in class, he will ask you to leave.

Don't get caught goofing off in his class. Other than that, he's really interested in and knowledeable of the material. Classes he teaches are interesting, although difficult at times.
