horrible teacher. when he says you might have a quiz... you do. when says a test might come up it does. he sucks! dont take him... also he teaches at western christian high school. he sucks. tons of work and well he sucks. you will have 3-5 quizzes a week and a chapter or 2 tests a week. good luck if you got stuck with this teacher. HE SUCKS!!!!!!!

Comment:

Hansen is a fairly nice guy, but he was underinformed and unprepared for the class. Labs with him take twice what the others took. On the plus side he is willing to help you out if you are willing to put in the time and effort to meet with him after lab and go thru everything. I recommend Paul Spielman.

This guy is the worst teacher ever.What everyone has written about him so far is true!Having him as a teacher of this lab is basically like not having a teacher at all.He thinks that Rodgers teaches us everything we need to know, so he just lets us "figure it out" on our own.I have yet to learn anything and can't wait to get out of his class!

dr. hansen's class was the hardest class i've ever taken...but it was also the first class that i had to try really hard in to get a good grade...i think his teaching style is pretty crazy, but i actually learned alot from him

Hansen is a nice guy, but a WANK for a teacher. He refuses to see non-Bio majors as needing a different level class than Bio majors! we were in the dummies class....that's what we are! HARD final - smell of dead pig gets really old after a few weeks. Looked down on me for not being able to stomache the smell/cutting on flesh.

Dr. Hansen is a nice guy, but nice doesn't teach you anything. The first day of class he talked about his family for half an hour then set us off on our own to figure out material we had never even seen before...with no lecture to precede it. Needless to say, i am scared to see how I will do in his class.

He makes you do much longer, harder papers than any of the other lab profs, and then he doesn't even read them. He grades only on length. And his lab practicum is 10x's harder than the other labs.

Spring '05, didn't lecture in lab, gave a quick overview then let us at it. True doesn't help to much but if you ask he will come and explain. He lets you experience and infer from your own work and doesn't hold your hand, your in college. Pracitcal is huge, Skeletal, Muscle, Organs. Good class.

DON'T TAKE HIM FOR LAB. not helpful, very rude, super hard. makes the questions as hard as they possibly could be. expect to do a research paper, when the other classes only write 1 page. reads all the labs to you & talks like we're kids. DON'T TAKE HIM.
