ENGL301 is supposed to introduce students to various specialized forms of writing, but instead we spent the entire semester writing a short story and 4--completely irrelevant (in his own words)--poems. He has a huge, irrationally-conceived ego and forces everyone to comply with his narrow-minded point of view. Terrible professor.

As an English major, I’ve learned a lot, but I am sure (non-English majors) have not learned anything in this class because they never even read the textbook. He's a terribel professor. Had him for creative writing & if your serious about writing do not take him. Only write one way and that's his way. Have whole semester to work on a short story & 4 poems. Workshop your short story only. Makes you buy the novel that he wrote and that's only for an optional paper. Students teach class. Huge ego!!

This man shouldnt be teaching. Hes lenient, but the class is a joke. He wrote the textbook, and he has the students teach it. He also has us buy his novel, but it's for an extra credit paper--hes just trying to get book sales. Workshops are disorganized. If you're serious about writing, dont take him. The only thing youll learn is he has a big ego.

This man is so full of himself that it IS funny. He talks about himself, his writing, HIM HIM HIM. He tears edinboro apart, and talks about how the students are lazy. He talks about students at "better" schools. NAZI about attendance. When you miss 1 class he asks where you were. Hard to understand, and has no reasoning. Terrible lecture. RUN!!!!!
