This class was a lot more bearable than I thought it would be, especially considering that it's nearly 3 hours long. Most days consists of 1 or 2 fun activities and lectures reviewing the chapters you read. The worst part of this class is writing the essays. But other than that, the exams are easy so long as you read & take advantage of the HW!

Dave is my favorite professor at Clark so far. He clearly cares about the subject and his students' success. If you pay attention and take good notes, you will get the material. His speech feedback is always constructive. Dave is strict, but he's also fair. Respect his policies and do the work, and you'll be graded accordingly.

Dave does a great job of alleviating Public Speaking nervousness, and continuously applies learned skills to real-life. The work can be a lot if you're a procrastinator, but it's all consistently given and due. Instructions for speeches are straight-forward, and you get to see and take about past examples beforehand. He's funny and a great lecturer

Very knowledgeable about communication. There is a lot of reading each week and exams are pick the most correct answer. As long as you read and do the assigned questions it's an easy A. The final paper is hard though and I wish he assigned it earlier. Overall he's cool guy and his lectures can be fun.

Dave grades HARD. Half-assing will not get you a passing grade, nor will skipping the reading/online quizzes. He was easily my toughest instructor, but it was also my favorite class of the quarter. He is an excellent teacher and I never had a boring class. I definitely walked away with knowledge I'll hold onto for the future.

Dave is the best professor I have ever had. I hate public speaking, but dave did such a great job of assuring that you are prepared for each speech you give. Dave makes you earn your grade, however he gives great feedback on all of the speech rough drafts. if put in the work, you will for sure be a better public speaker leaving his class.

Be active in class and participate in class discussions and it'll be a fun course Take really good lecture notes and you'll pass the tests Very nice professor who values respect and is understanding yet firm. Loved this course, the class itself is fairly easy and the interesting lectures makes the 8am part of it not so bad.

First quarter at clark .Taking this class made me hate my life. This guy expects you to be good at public speaking before you walk in. THIS CLASS WILL NOT SOLVE FEAR OF SPEAKING. I was new, didn't know what canvas was so couldn't check when i had to say the speech. so he said he would move my speech to next day and dropped my grade down A to B :(

I was beyond scared to take public speaking, but Dave is awesome. He seems scary and tough at first but that is to scare people who take the class for an easy A. This class is not that. However, if you participate and work hard you will succeed in this class. Also, Dave helps throughout the quarter with lots of helpful feedback!

Dave is a great teacher. He tries to trick you by seeming really strict in the beginning of the quarter, but hes actually a really nice person. He gives great feedback on papers so you know exactly what you need to do to make your speech meet his expectations. And if you get perfect attendance you also get extra credit!

I was beyond nervous to take this class, but Dave made all the difference. He's extremely clear from day one on his expectations. Tests are simple, if you know the material. Four speeches total, and really teaches you what you need to know, even beyond the classroom. Always willing to help, and work with students! I would take him again!

I had Professor Kosloski for public speaking and he made me a better speaker and student. Sure, he's tough but college should be tough. He explained on the first day that he's not an easy A and he kept that promise. He emailed me back almost immediately when I had qustions and made class fun and worth attending. Tough exams but made me study.

He's stubborn and your speeches have to be his way or the high way. I did okay in the speech part, but he has tests worth just as much for your final grade and they are hard. You have to spend time studying and practicing speeches instead of one or the other. The tests are tested on little details in the readings. This class takes up a lot of time.

easiest classes I've ever taken. One of the worst teachers I'v ever had. Not a lot of information in his class about 80-90% of the class is time filler. wouldn't need to show up if it wasn't required. also wouldn't excuse an absence of mine even though I had to go to the hospital, which ended up negatively affecting my grade. would never take again

This public speaking class was rough. Good teacher, but you're in for a shock if you're thinking it's going to be a breeze. He's a stickler for grades. Multiple choice tests, but you better know the material.

He's a really nice guy and makes a lot of jokes in the class, but is very strict on his policies. He explains everything beforehand and tells you exactly what he expects and he follows through with those expectations. It's all in the syllabus. He talks a lot about his participation as an extra in shows like Grimm and Portlandia.

Kosloski is an amazing teacher and he truly shows his understanding of interpersonal communication. He is very helpful in class and though emails. There are three take-home papers, one final research paper, and four exams over the required readings. You will get the grade that you deserve based on the assignments, participation, and attendance.

Such a good professor! Makes the class fun and interesting. It is super tough and the speeches are a painful process. My speech making and presenting did get better and I learned so much from this class. He was by far my favorite professor this quarter!
