He is hilarious! LaPorte makes the class interesting and fun. Attendance isn't required but trust me, GO! He covers all of the material in class, so be prepared to take notes, what he covers is what is on the test. The tests are kind of hard, but if you study and attend class and take good notes, its not too bad. Take him, I love him!!

I love Professor LaPorte. He is probably the best teacher I have ever had. My PSYC class is at 8 in the morning, but he makes it worth it. He loves what he teaches, and he manages to make it easy and fun. The tests are a little hard, but just go to class, print out the powepoints, take the online quizes, and read the chapters. TAKE HIM!!!

REALLY GREAT PROFESSOR. HIS TEST AREN'T REALLY THAT HARD AS LONG AS YOU ATTEND CLASS. TEST ARE A LITTLE HARD, BUT HE DEF. COVERS ALL THE MATERIAL IN CLASS. I HARDLY EVER CAME TO CLASS AND I STILL PASSED THE CLASS WITH A B. "PUT FORTH A THE EFFORT AND YOU'LL DO JUST FINE - ATTEND CLASS AND YOU'LL DO GREATTTTTTT!!!!!!!"

We all have those moments where we love a professor, yet want to jump out the window once we're handed one of their exams. Overall, probably one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet- and has so much experience and stories from his field. If you review your notes and at least attempt to listen during class, you should do fine.

Abnorm Psych: his tests are aimed at someone that is testing to be a therapist or something, they are wildly tricky. You have to read and re-read them and I am an B average student. He makes the class interesting, mostly powerpoint everyday and some video. If you email him be prepared for no more than a one sentence answer no matter what you ask.

I took this my first semester ever and it was mostly memorization, but he was mildly funny which made class much better. I actually slept through my first exam and went to him and he was very understanding and helped me out; he is a good guy and will tell you what you need to know to pass.

His class got me prepared for all my other classes. I didn't study much in HS but this class made me start studying. Every test i took 10-12 hours studying for it and that sounds like alot but we are in college get the work done. I took an A in his class with ease. He teaches right from the book you really don't need to go to class.
