VERY amazing prof. he enjoys his work and you can tell he is very enthusiastic about what he is teaching. very helpful and accessible outside of class and WANTS you to succeed. I had a very fun time in his class and learned a ton. He takes the time to explain things and make sure everyone is on the same page before moving on

David is a great choice for French. While his class isn't the easiest, he definitely makes it worthwhile. He is a passionate linguistic and this is demonstrated in his attention to detail and care for his students. His projects and exams are more than manageable and he is very fair when marking. Warning, you will probably want him as a prof again!!

I initially took this class thinking it would be an easy pass. This was wrong. While David is an incredible teacher, and is super willing to help his students, his class is an insane amount of work. There is homework before every class, his exams are heavy, and the class is boring. HOWEVER, you will learn french. It just won't be easy.

David is an amazing prof. Cares about how you are doing in the class. He put everything online including videos explaining lessons so you could learn at home and apply it when in class. He would also always find different ways of explaining lessons if you did not understand. He would cancel classes to allow for time to prepare for oral interviews.

AWESOME prof for French 100. He definitely takes the time to explain things in a way that makes sense. If you put in the effort you will get a good grade. And if you already have some background in French it won't be too hard. If you have an interest in language he loves to talk linguistics since it's his background. Seriously TAKE HIS CLASS!

He is awesome. Really helpful. Responds to emails really quickly which was awesome. He split the class up into small quizzes and oral interviews and a final. Super easy. Very funny. Overall an engaging prof that will help you in any way he can. :D Take French with him if you can. You will not regret it and if you pay attention you will pass.

David is an awesome prof! I definitely recommend him. He's approachable and makes the class interesting and rather easy. He also does great accents. The only semi-issue I had was he didn't prepare notes (I love prepared notes), but I guess as Uni students we should be able to make our own. Anyways, if you're unsure, take him!

Dave est un de mes profs préférés du monde! Il est sans doute mon prof favori de français. Il est tellement drôle et ses cours ne sont jamais ennuyeux. Il est très patient. Il fait l'apprentissage amusant et intéressant. Il est passionné et très enthousiaste de la langue et il passe cette amour aux étudiants.

He is a very helpful, funny and enthusiastic teacher. He knows when to drill things and when to lay off. His work load is not rediculously much but it is enough to keep you thinking. Out of the classes I had to go to, his was top priority. I would definitely recommend this irish man to anyone learning french!

David Lawlor is the best prof ever. he connects the information to you and makes French more than just a language. You learn so much more than just grammer in his classes. He's clearly very passionate about the language and it shows and hopefully passes that on to students besides me as well!

Such a great prof. I took the class online and feel much more confident in my french then when i took it at the uni with a different prof whose class i bombed. GREAT PROF very recommended
