just go to his office hours and he will definitely help you a lot. don't be scare to ask questions because it would only better your writing skills. i didn't expect a lot from this class, but i actually learned a lot at the end of the semester. One of the best english professor. (the only way to actually learn is through revision!)

He's a little unclear about exactly what he wants you do do on you papers. He really just gives you a prompt and lets you explore a topic for yourself, which is cool, but I'm a student that needs more guidance. He is helpful in office hours though, you really need one on one time with him to appreciate him as a teacher.

He's extremely unclear, he refuses to tell you what your grade is (even when you ask), his expectations make no sense and he is unable to explain them, and although he encourages you to come to him for help he is never around during his office hours. Despite doing fair in his class, the man is useless and his course is meaningless. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

His class was very challenging this semester. For a long time I was unsure of what he was expecting from the students. He was helpful in his office hours which clarified his expectations. I suspect he will take a lot from this class and continue to perfect his teaching style. I would recommend him to anyone who has time to dedicate to his class

This is a required class for G.E. took it expecting an easy A, which I got... he's a good teacher, lots of little assigments but he's super lenient if you mess up. Definately recomend, actually learned a few things too.

Weird guy who sweats a lot, even in the morning. His grading is overly tough, and he expects too much from freshman students. If he were to chill out, and not come into the class six weeks into the semester, he might be more tolerable. Take another English teacher if possible, trust me...

Dr.Martins is awesome.He is cares about what the student has to say.He's willing to take time to answer any questions that may arise.The fact that he indeed looks for a deeper meaning. That is what a good teacher should always strive for. I would reccomend him to anyone.

Martins is all about class discussions and getting everyon involved. This, in my opinion, makes the class more interesting and intertaining than the professor lecturing. Martins is extremely helpful and will do his best to get you to understand the concept. He is a GREAT english professor!!
