Okay, so I was in this guy's class for 1 day... he is crazy impossible to understand. Dropped it the next day without "W" because I knew there was no way I'd come to class again. Set me back in my Chemistry sequence because he was the only one teaching it that semester.

He is an excellent professor and teaches very well. His tests cover the same material from lecture, so study your notes and the book. Tests are kind of hard, but the curve more than makes up for it. He is probably the best 162 teacher here, but is monotone.

if you can take a different teacher. he hands out practice exams but they are not like the exam you have to take. class is boring but what chemistry class isn't. exams are hard but he curves it and usually 50% is a c. basically passing this class depends on the curve

He smiled and was funny, too! Also very patient. He's always available outside of class, and encourages questions in class, too. Generous grading curve, and tests are tough, but you absolutely MUST do all of the homework and read the chapters or you're doomed. Review the study guides, and attend his review sessions and you'll do well.

If you are going to take his class: 1.Sit in the front, because he speak kind of soft. 2.Must read text book on your own, exams are super hard!!! 3.Curves is good 50%=C.

I know understand why more students don't major in chemistry. This guy is beyond boring. Count how many times he smiles throughout the semester; it's around 3. Monotone voice, no facial expression. No wonder half the students start skipping class after the first month.

Does not teach very well but in fairness, the material is difficult. Exams are some of the most brutal I've come across, common exam average score hovered around 25%.
