Professor Riggins is an incredible instructor with a wealth of knowledge to back all of his lectures. He is easily the best instructor I've had during my time at Missouri S&T. If you are looking to learn an incredible amount of knowledge that's conveyed in an easy to understand format, enroll in any class that Dr. Riggins teaches.

Reading the book helps tremendously. Work through all of the example problems in the book. Pay attention when he works through in-class examples and make sure to practice them before tests. You cover a lot of material so stay on top of your reading.

Without question, the best professor in the department. If you plan on specializing in propulsion, you have to take the class with Dr. Riggins. Moves at a very fast pace but is crystal clear on all concepts and has the industry experience to back everything he says. Exams are not easy but are open book/notes. Go to class or you will fall behind.

A tough class since its at 8:00 a.m. Just show up, listen to Riggins and do the homework and you should be fine. Tests are fairly difficult but Riggins gives lots of partial credit. Going to the extra credit events can help also.

Best professor I have ever had. Knows the material very well and is a fantastic teacher. Could not ask for a better foundation to start out in Aerospace Engineering. Tests and homework are fairly difficult but he gives you all the knowledge you need to excel. Always willing to help and answer questions whether during office hours or not.

A really brilliant man. I mean super smart. His lectures are packed to the max. He starts talking the second he walks through the door and goes all the way up to _:50. He's a great professor. For AE 161 he is definitely easier than Finaish.

The best teacher I have ever had! He moves fast but makes things as easy as possible. And the fact he moves fast makes the class more enjoyable. Doesn't spend a lot of time repeating himself. Absolutely Excellent.

Makes Propulsion II understandable. Be warned, he grades hard if you make a mistakes. Beyond being unforgiving, he's an excellent lecturer.

Had this guy for compressible flow at the University of Tennessee a couple years ago. Damned shame he left to return to Rolla. Most of the students in the UT aero dept thought he was a great teacher.
