He gives you all the information you need to learn the material. Your grade really depends on your commitment. The homework isn't for a grade but if you don't practice it, you won't do well. He was available almost everyday outside class for additional help. Very knowledgeable, kind, and all around a great teacher.

He is very good at explaining things outside of class, but the tests are super hard if you dont study for them. You have to do a lot of outside work for the class or you wont pass. He is a very good teacher though and will help you if you need it.

Do the homework, pass the class. It's simple. The homework doesn't count for credit, last I knew, but he is more than willing to assist. Dr. Stumpf is professional, consistent and very passionate.

Very difficult class. Offers no extra credit. Teaches fast and expects students to understand all the material covered in each lecture. Professor Stumpf is nice, unfortunately being nice won't help with passing this class.

Superb professor. Kind man. Clearly teaches subject matter and moves at an appropriate pace. Not too much textbook use other than practice problems, but as long as you pay attention and take notes, he teaches everything you need to know. Test problems are no surprise is a fair grader. Just do the homework.

This was one of the hardest classes I have ever had. He is a really nice guy and says he is willing to help. But he teaches so fast that its almost impossible to keep up. He acts as if everyone in the class is amazing at math and should be able to do the problems quickly. If you miss one day of class it will be very hard to catch up.

He had a great way of explaining things if I didn't understand. Make sure you ask questions. If you are too shy to ask in class like me than stay after and talk to him one on one, he is very friendly.

I absolutely loved Professor Stumpf. I took him my very first semester at Lakeland. Even though his work is tough, he always reassures that you have the ability to pass the class. He is a highly respected professor and I learned so much from him. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to take a higher level math course. He is amazing.

I took this class last semester with a different teach because I just want getting it. This semester I am getting a solid B. So that says something about Professor Stumpf. He gives motivational speeches that make you excited to learn. He is respected by students because of his attitude and teaching style. I wont take a math class with anyone else.

Stumpf is a wonderful teacher who was always willing to help, started class promptly, ended class at the proper time, was extremely organized, and explained topics well. If you show up to class and complete most of the homework and do the review guide then you will do well in this class.

David Stumpf is the biggest swagmaster in the world. Lord of the math, a god among men, probably best math teacher in world. In all seriousness he's a great teacher and does a great job on both controlling a class and spreading knowledge.

I am horrible at math and have never enjoyed it! I needed a ton of extra help to maintain a decent grade in this class and Mr Stumpf was extremely willing to help any way possible. I utilized his office hours once or twice a week and he was always always ready to help and never got frustrated. He is extremely nice.

This material was not too difficult. He was a great teacher and provided types of examples to help you learn the section. I never did any homework and got an A. As long as you study as much as you need to, you can pass. Also, the final was half as hard as the unit tests. Not bad.
