Nice guy, bad teacher. The professor was very absent minded he would teach us one thing, back-track and realize he was doing it wrong and re-teach us. 80% self-taught learning through the online Pearson modules. The final was worth 25% of our grade and he never even posted our final grade from it in canvas. Never used the $200 dollar textbook once

This was the worst professor I have ever had, I would NOT take his class. You will teach yourself the material needed and his final is pass or fail for the whole class. I had a 97% in the class took the final got a B and dropped my grade to a 70%. If you are looking to pass or do well in college here do NOT take his class!!!

This professor does a quality job. He was always willing to help whenever I had questions. He never made me feel dumb. If you're willing to show up and do the work, you'll do fine. He explains himself well. Highly recommend this professor.

One of the best math teachers I've ever had, period, not just at EWU. The material isn't always easy but he teaches it well. If you go to class and put in the time you'll do well.

As a senior who has talked with many people about how they got through Math 115, I'm absolutely sure this is the best Math teacher EWU has to offer. Attendance is NOT optional. He explains as long as it takes and he takes student's results into account for giving extra credit. It won't be fun, but work hard and you'll get the grade you want/deserve

Good instructor for those who really want to just get their math requirement over with, without too much drama or difficulty. Pretty nice, sarcastic at times - I was frankly a bit surprised at the snippy comments made on the budget project, especially considering his vague requirements. Overall, not a big deal, take him for an easy math req.

Garbage teacher. Very poor, ended up teaching myself most of the material. Tests don't even cover the homework. Homework is sometimes absurdly hard, he even says "i didn't expect anyone to get that problem, haha" as if it's supposed to be a "fun challenge" for us. Tests are pretty tough,study hard and you'll get through. Tests get easier thru qtr

Best that EWU has to offer. Totally gets it that for most of us--we just want through Math 115 so we can be done with the Math requirements at EWU. Not in any way a class that one can afford to not attend class and expect to do okay. Attend class...do the homework!...you will do well enough on tests to get out of EWU's MATH!

Great instructor! Understands that most students are not there to become math teachers. Teaches the necessary things, not just how the book lays it out. Don't miss class! Do the practice and homework. He is VERY helpful.

best math teacher i've had at eastern. he's very, very helpful and will work with you solving a problem until you understand it. he actually cares about his students. his tests aren't too bad. do the homework, do the group assignments, take notes, and you'll do fine in his class.
