Dawn does a great job explaining things... almost too great. Class is really boring, especially if you read the textbook beforehand. The class is difficult, especially the recitations required and tests. Dawn is into experimental learning where you are asked about, and graded on, the material before you learn it in lecture.

Terrible professor. She doesn't make sense when she is lecturing and she treats you like you are in kindergarten. Watching a cartoon sing the periodic table was not my idea of learning college chemistry. Her tests are really hard because she does a terrible job at teaching the information.

Rickey is a good professor. Her lectures are clear and to the point. She does example problems and doesn't move too fast. CHEM 111 is a challenging course but it isn't impossible. Prof. Rickey teaches it well and her student's scores are typically higher than the other CHEM 111 class.

Her "new and improved" method of teaching is the most innane, contrived and convoluted thing I have ever seen practiced in an academic setting. Perhaps if she could hold someone's attention longer than 1 s, she might have something useful to say about chemistry. She is proof that a Harvard education is not always credible.
