I took his class several years ago and have to say it was the single worst experience of my college career. Although I got a B, I didn't learn much. He truly doesn't care about students learning. Office hours? Doesn't show up. Phone calls? Won't respond. Email? Forget it. Habitually late. Tenured.

Ol Hal is the worst teacher I have ever had. He made the lectures pointless and the test exceptionally hard. He was constantly making rude and inappropriate comments in class and really didn't seem to have any interest in the teaching students anything except his own stupid recreational activities

I have to say I really like him as a person. He's just really sweet. The class is hard...really hard. I took it from Hood last semester and dropped it because his tests were harder, it's just an extremely difficult class.

I was so disappointed with this class. There's so much to learn in finance but he managed to waste every shred of time. Lectures were completely useless. His TA guest lectured one time and I actually learned something. Wow, he just needs to go retire!

I went to class every day and studied my brains out and still got a C. His tests were horrible, no credit for attending class, and his lectures were all over the place and very unorgainzed. Ask him about missing an exam. His stories will floor you.

Lucky for WSU students he's retiring this semester. Out of our large class there is only one A and three A-'s. He is terribly ineffective. The atrocious performance of his students is largely a reflection of his teaching abilities.
