Dr. George was simply wonderful! She was kind, fair, and kept the class very interesting. There were lots of small assignments, but as long as you attend class (for the notes) and are interested in the subject (not hard), you will do very well! I hope I have her again.

Comment:
For a class on sex and relationships it was very dry and very traditional. Often seemed like you were just copying down statistics and facts. Very nice, but the course wasn't as entertaining/exciting/interesting as I thought it would be.

Dr. George is an amazing prof. She gives you lots of small assignments to allow you to get a very high mark. She is very clear in what she wants and her tests are very fair. If you attend class and study her lectures you will do very well. No exam was a huge bonus as well. Definitely take a class with her!

Absolutely WONDERFUL! What a fabulous person to learn from. She's incredibly respectful of students and provides lots of opportunities to really engage in the material. She provides relevant information that relates to current affairs and encourages students to contribute unique information that may help provide insight. Just brilliant. :)

Dr. George is great. She has neatly outlined notes, and makes an effort to engage you in the material. Tests are not too difficult, and there are some fun in class exercises. My only criticism is she is a quiet speaker, so you might want to sit up front to keep yourself alert, as I found myself dozing off in the back row from time to time.

I went into this course (personality theories) thinking it's a theory class so it must be boring. I was wrong. Dr. George made this course quite enjoyable and engaging. One suggestion is to take Psyc 331 (Social Psyc) along with this course. Quite a few concepts overlapped.

Fun class with an interesting range of topics (survey of 6 psyc theories on personality). Dr. George strove to make the class relevant with current event examples and in class activities. Flexible grading options, no final, and easy-A self-reflective assignments. The autobiography was a good exercise. Genuinely cares for her students.

Really nice lady! Take good notes during class, and you are good to go. Tests included a lot of examples, some of which were hard to interpret, but overall they were pretty good, mostly multiple choice and then a couple written, which were very easy. Journal project super easy; she only cared about the relevant material, not appearance.

Really intelligent and well spoken. She keeps current with the news and incorporates those examples into lecture. Assignments are enjoyable. Not too overly optimistic about the nature of humans; she is a critical thinker. I fully recommend her class.

Probably the best teacher I've had at UVic. She was so enthusiastic, and it helped that the class was so interesting. VERY fair grader, VERY understanding, really great assignment options. If you get the chance to take a class with her, take it! I would take every class with her if I could.

Its pretty easy to do well in this course unless you're dumb as a door nail. She lets you choose whether you want to write all the exams or drop one for a paper so you can do what best fits you. I would advise doing the paper, I wrote it in a night and got an A+. Easy A overall.
