While she holds a lot of knowledge, her teaching methods are extremely outdated. She uses no visual aids and it can be very hard to stay mentally involved in her class. Her assignments are vague and extensive and she gives you a very small amount of time to complete them. I would not even consider her one of her classes in the future.

So much reading! Goes off on tangents that don't matter for the test. There are only 2 tests & 2 papers but she is a stickler so make sure you study. Every class is long and boring - most people leave.

I really enjoyed this class! Dr. Alexander is unbelievably smart and exceedingly interesting to listen to. Her class was engaging and challenging and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in Women's History.

She is a very boring teacher and finds it useful to say the same things over and over. If you are not a big reader get out of this class. There are 3 novels each between 300-500 pages and a text book that is around 400 pages. So a grand total of 1500-1700 pages of total reading. Lastly there are only 2 tests and 2 writing assignments. This teacher

Not only does she give some of the worst lectures but has a picky grading scale dependent on writing style. She gave new meaning to the word boring and apparently (like most bad professors) doesnt like ramct. In class participation required. Save your money and have a friend punch you in the face, it will be the same experience.

not clear about what she wants in assignments, everything is essay form, not helpful in office hours, you can only succeed if you match her writing style, do NOT recommend!

on a 1-10 scale, ten being the best, she is a two. redundent, monotonal, over anunciates, 30 explainations for 1 point, useless discussions, 4 books required reading, attendence, BORING!
