Anholt is one of my favourite profs at UVic and I hope that he chooses to come back. His lectures are interesting and he brings in great (and relevant) guest speakers. He is a really hard marker on the Cabinet submission, but his midterm/exam are easy if you put in a bit of effort. Overall one of my fav classes.

A good speaker. Nice&funny. only the thing is the dry course material and his high expectation for the papers. He basically expects you to write like a bureaucrat or English thesis or sth.

Being an ex-bureaucrat, Anholt likes things done a certain way; specifically, he expects you to write like a bureaucrat. Nevertheless, he's a reasonable marker and even if you don't follow his prescribed writing style, you'll get a decent mark. Actually, he's a pretty nice guy. Don't expect an 'A' if you're not really interested in public policy.

This prof is excellent! He repeats over important concepts and makes sure they're drilled into your head. Don't bother buying the text; just going to his lectures will ensure a good mark on exams. Although a bit tough when marking cab-subs, he's a very fair prof who assigns fair grades.
