If you don't have a basic understanding of basic bio, you might want to brush up. It's best if you do the assignments right when they are assigned because she doesn't give clear due dates. PARTICIPATE. Even if you do poorly in the class, she will like you more if you interact in the class. WRITE EVERYTHING SHE SAYS AND MEMORIZE IT.

IF YOU CAN AVOID TAKING ANY OF HER CLASSES, DO IT. She is very disrespectful to students who have difficulty with the subject. She chewed me out for trying to help a friend with some notes. BEWARE OF HER TANGENTS. She knows what she is talking about but she will go off topic so fast you won't even realize that she's talking about irrelevant things.

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! Not only is she extremely disrespectful to anyone belonging to a religious faith, she is unclear on the material and spends more time pushing her political opinions on you than teaching. I have a midterms this Thursday and don't even know what chapter in the book we're on. ..

Susan Morley is extremely knowledgeable but has somewhat of an eccentric teaching style that I know a lot of students didn't like. She tends to talk a lot, go off on tangents, and isn't very clear about assignments. Nevertheless, I loved her as a friend and she was very helpful on assignments if you asked her personally.

She was a very hard teacher to deal with. Most of the time she would go off topic and once you know it class is done. I havent learned anything from this class. DO NOT TAKE IT FOR YOUR GE!

The whole class experience was a nightmare. She goes off on a tangent on U.S. politics and always questions us about certain political figures that she expects us to know and gets upset when we don't. Be prepared to be called upon unexpectedly. She also CONSTANTLY changes due dates at the last minute so be prepared and anticipate that as well.

She's an awesome lady, and was always willing to help students who needed it. Most of the things she says has no relevance to the subjects, but I promise if you just do the work and listen to instructions when she does give them, you should do fine. And dont be boring in your papers, she hates that.

She's a bit random, but if you keep up with her course and do the assignments, she's pretty easy. I crammed for the final about two hours before and raised my entire grade. It got a bit frustrating that she kept talking about Native Americans, but I love her as a person. As long as you stay on top of things, you'll be fine.

I was so lost all of her class. I felt like I was witnessing a woman either go through old age or just ADHD. Everyone in that class was lost. I was absolutely not motivated to work hard in her class because she would always go on tangents about stuff that didn't even relate to the actual course, and then she expected us to just know the answers.

By far the worst teacher at CSUMB. Avoid her at all cost. Incredibly unorganized, and has no idea what she is doing in class. Pretty sure she makes it up as she goes. Don't expect anything because she can change an assignment, or date of an exam at the drop of a hat. Only plus is that she works in the field of anthropology. THATS IT! SHES TERRIBLE!

Don't take her class. Aviod this professor at all cost. The class teaches you nothing, aside from how to keep from going insane for the four hours a week it is taught. All she ever did was talk about native americans, when we were supose to be gaining a broad knowledge of SBS. I honestly do not think she even planned daily lessons.

very disorganized and unclear. one time we took a 2 question pop quiz. the girl i sat a few seats down from and myself both got the correct answers to both questions. so we had the same answers of course, apparently that meant we cheated and both got zeros on the quiz

She is very friendly and fun to talk to. The assignments are not extremely easy but just be sure to listen to her commentary. Make sure to do all your work for your portfolio at the end of the year and be sure to let her know when things are not clear. She is a very understanding teacher but not a push over.

Morley, is the GREATEST! Stop the judging and see what you can learn from her. She is a great asset to the SBS dept. To be honest, who has it all together in the department? They all pride themselves on NOT working well together. At least Morley does not allow that to affect her work or her students. Give her a try.

Show up to class. Do the annotations. Do the easy assignments she hands out and you'll do fine. Study for Midterm and Final..there not to hard but count a lot. Quizzes, forget it, you'll never do well on. Very disorganized, you will feel lost, and come out not knowing anything. But if you can put up with it and do what I said you should be ok.

Probably one of the most disorganized people I've ever met. She can't teach. Her quizzes that she gives after each class are about the most minuscule things that nobody ever knows. If you don't know the material do NOT go into this class. The only positive thing about her is the fact that she is really passionate about what she's teaching.

Susan is amazing. You would be hard pressed to find someone more knowledgeable about physical anthropology. I think some students have difficulty following her lectures, but she knows her material and would be a good mentor for SBS students.
