The worst teacher I've ever had. Doesn't teach anything, has ego problems, goes on rants about his own opinions constantly, and really doesn't care how you do. The tests are impossible and you don't know what to expect on it anyway. Take this class if you want to fail.

This class pretty much destroyed any interest I had in Art. Why this teacher is on the payroll is beyond me. Arrogant, spends half the class talking about his politcal beliefs, the other half bragging about his 'sculpture', if you could call it that. Just another 'prima-donna' angry because he has to teach a lower-division course.

Simply awful. He's a great artist, but a terrible instructor. I had no clue what to expect on the tests, and I am not surprised at my low grades. He is also extremely biased towards his own personal feelings, and bases the class off of that, and that's wrong. I've learned nothing despite my efforts.

This class was OK..not great though. His accent is horribly muttled sometimes and it can be hard to understand him. His "art terms of the day" are annoying, and its hard to please him after so many years of hearing the same thing. Tests are HORRIBLE...all definitions..no multiple choice :(

Ulloa has a level of disrespect for student artists that I had not seen before. He remarked that after our class was over he taught real art to his sculpting class. That attitude is unneccessary and damaging to entry level art students. Appropriate criticisms of art are vital, his comments were not.

He is a very, hard professor. Yes, his tests are straight from the notes, but it is all vocabulary words "bold words in text" as he would say. I just think he should teach more on the arts perspective. I took this class to learn more about it, I have learned nothing. Take him if you dont care.

Ok I like him, he is not rude, mean or anything else. You must have somehow got him really upseat somehow. He does have a VERY DRY, and somewhat sarcastic since of humor though. THIS IS A VERY VERY HARD CLASS, unless you have a Grade-A short term memory. I hate the way he tests, 4 test 25% each :(

I thought he was great and don't understand all of these negative reviews.Although he comes across mean, if you actually take a minute to speak to him, you will see he is a very nice person and willing to help you when he can. I think people forget that teachers have lives outside of school too!

Extremely unfair grading system! I though I had a B until he gave the grades, I got a C in an Art class! One guy that never showed up and turned in his projects late got a B. Time consuming stupid projects, I didn't learn ANYTHING! - Don't take him!
