Comment:

He makes his tests rather easy-- by that i mean he gives small numbers in the equations. Pretty boring and taught math the long way. He wasn't great, but wasn't bad. If you like easy tests, take him. But he doesn't give study guides!

Comment:

I don't recommend him if you are not very good at math. He goes really fast and doesn't like to stop and explain if someone has a question. He grades hard. On the tests if you don't show the work the way he wants it he won't give you any points, even if you have the right answer. I would avoid taking him.

Comment:

Great professor, extremely clear in the notes, which are primarily examples of how to do the homework. Missing a day can hurt, as he's very fast paced (in the summer). Sarcastic comedian, and a genius in one. Test are worth a large percent, but as long as you study the formulas you'll be fine. Easy going and I cant recommend him enough. Good luck:)

Comment:

Not hard to understand at all. Gave 3 tests each worth 15%, a project worth 5%, hw worth 10% (collected once a week) and the final is worth 40%. Seems like a lot but is doable. He explains everything clearly and is willing to answer questions with no hesitation. He has humor and always let out class 10-15 minutes early. I would recommend him.

I took 130 during summer and he went fast but he skipped really tough sections since it was summer. No quizzes and the tests were moderate to easy. He was really nice and somewhat funny. No study guides though just practice problems from the book. A-

I absolutely love him!!! Best math teacher ever, I dreaded coming to math class but thanks to him math is now actually easy for me. Take good notes, study them, do homework, and you'll be ready for the tests. Easy A!

Great professor, despite his strong (but funny)asian accent. He's really clear at explaining the subject. He collects hw and randomly chooses one question as a quiz grade. His tests are crystal clear easy. Honestly, I though hw was worse than the tests. He always comes in class with his book and his coffee (usually takes off the lid). Cheers!

Dr. Chang is awesome, really wants to help. Doesn't waste time joking too much, but will concisely be funny as heck. Teaches exactly what is tested, and adquately reviews beforehand. I don't understand the people that don't recommend him because I think he's an amazing teacher. Yeah, he does what he's suppose to, he's suppose to teach and he does a really good job at it. I understand everything he was saying, he has a quirky personality. If you don't understand something, you could always ask and he's glad to help you.

I got an A because he's really know the materials. He explained very clear. People say he can't teach, I'd say you can't learn. What on earth a teacher taugh math so clear and someones don't understand. This is a good teacher overall and he's smart although he has a little chinese accent.

Dr. Chang is the best! He's one of the nicest professors I've ever had, and he's very understanding. Yeah, he does have an accent (it's really funny), but it's nothing you wont be able to understand, since everything he says he writes on the board anyway. His tests are really easy, just do the homework correctly and you'll get an A almost forsure.

He has a noticeable accent and great sense of humor, but his ability to explain algebra in so many different ways makes him the best math teacher I've ever had. He breaks concepts down by showing and explaining examples; he may also be excellent for slower math students, like me. Most after class help should be from tutors and studying.

This is the worst Math teacher in Mt. Sac. Does not care to answer any question. No test reviews. Grades 5 problems in the HW, if it is wron you get 0 points, even though you did it. English is HORRIBLE!!!! eVERYNOE DROPPED THE CLASS!! i STUDIED SO MUCH AND EVEN HIRED MY OWN TUTOR. tESTS ARE HARD. SO MAD. i FAILED.

I have taken Math 50 2 other times before him because i never understood half the teachers that taught. He is the first that made clear sense on everthing. He breaks it down into baby steps which is great because other teachers dont really break it down and think you already know it. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND HIM!!!!

This professor is very nice, but his accent just makes understanding him very difficult. His grading system is lenient. He goes over problems with students while he's teaching but homework are never reviewed making it very difficult to know what you did wrong. Would be a good idea to find friends in the class and go over homework if you take him
