If you are a feminist, minoritist and are interested in issues of social justice, you will love her. If you are not, keep said things quiet as she quickly develops loyal students in each of her classes. She does show a LOT of videos and has a side list to watch outside of class, so if you prefer that to reading she is the right prof for you.

Awful. Hard to understand, doesn't answer questions or clarify. No need to go to class, she repeats information word for word out of the text book.

DON'T TAKE ANY CLASSES FROM HER. Horrible prof. You can't understand a word she says, she doesn't answer questions, and there was close to 20 hours of youtube videos we were responsible for watching outside of class.

Hard to get into, information seems pointless and she doesn't answer questions very well. Basically if you just read the text and watch the bazillion videos she gives you your good to go. I would have napped but her voice is so annoying that i couldn't.

Avoid this prof if possible. She is impossible to understand and when you can understand her she makes no sense. She assigned about 15 hours of youtube videos to watch outside of class time.

Better at teaching small upper level courses, but not teaching large first year courses. Her answers to questions, as well as her notes made no sense.Tests did not relate to the major themes of the course. Instead to specific examples. She posts many youtube videos that you are required to watch outside of class and the majority are over 1 hour long

Great prof, engages class discussion (when people are willing). answers questions quickly and easily, usually with pictures. if you don't know marx and weber, or are a neo-conservative, anti-feminist, or committed capitalist, i recommend not mentioning it...

Do not take this class. You will regret it. She is hard to understand not only because of her accent but because what she says makes no sense whatsoever. Stay away and don't waste your time and money.

She is a very passionate prof..she loves Soc! I enjoy theory but found the text hard to understand the original works with little clarification from the other text...good class if your pursuing Sociology at higher levels. (text list: Modern Social Theory & Social Theory: The Multicultural &Classical Readings)

She definately knows her stuff, but is often hard to understand. She mixes the important things into a lot of blabber and I felt like the time I figured out her point I had missed a lot of other stuff. If you're not good with accents, avoid.

Hard class but if you are gong to stay in sociology or go to grad school, you should take theory class from her. I learned things in this class that I SHOULD have learned in 233 but DIDN'T because it was taught by a dumb ass.
