He was a very inspiring, motivational, wise and experienced person who had a lot to teach in all sorts of fields. His grading wasn't hard, very fair, the work load was decent except at the beginning. He paced us out well after, though he did have difficulties keeping up with the syllabus due to off topic conversations as he was quite knowledgeable.

Gave us all a petition to send to administation to get AC in Boyden, sweated profusely due to ragweed allergy, was mean and cranky all the time, AWFUL grader, tough, Do NOT take under any circumstances- seriously you will regret it no matter what. This guy give you 8 open book quizs for the year that he lets you take in groups. These quiz's are hard even though you can use your booke and work in a group. He also rmbles on about how everything you ever leared is wrong and what he tells you is correct. Just a long class that you must attend and seems like forever before the day is over.

He sweats a LOT so don't sit in the front row. Occasionally his shirt becomes unbuttoned and you see his large, hairy stomach. Also, he mentions his sex life on more than one occasion. I think you can figure out what I learned during this class.

Awful!! I'm a history buff and have never been so disinterested in a history class before. He is an incredibly unfair grader and does not seem sure about what he's teaching. I've learned more about his conspiracy theories on 9/11 and the assassinations of MLK, JFK (and his election), and Bobby Kennedy than I have of actual history. Avoid him!

He is terrible and goes against BSC policies. I don't mind the conspiracies, I can handle the class-long tangents. He has 2 TOTALLY different grading systems as of this semester. On tests if you show that you learned something and didn't quote him or the textbook exactly, he marks you down. You can say the same thing in different words and fail.

Honestly, the best you can do inhis class is most likly a B. I tried really hard in his class and did an extra credit paper and got a B-. If you are looking for a class to get an A in, this might not be a class for you. Although I learned a lot in his class, it did not really reflect in my grade. Talk to him out of class and be involved in clasS.

I found this class to be dreadful. HIS opinion is all that matters. LONG take home quizzes that seem to take ages to do. His grading system is a mess. There are in class quizzes that he starts with 15 min of class remaining and they take longer than that. AVOID HIM if you dont have time to waste.

He is into "going green" and teaches according to his personal agenda. A lot of the material covered is his opinion. His in class quizzes are easy enough. The take home tests are long and the questions are confusing. He often goes on tangents. I found that sometimes it was hard to tell what was a rant and what was needed for notes.

World Hist. since 1500.. He's very liberal and into "going green". With that said, you WILL learn a lot of things you wouldn't in other classes, but you have to keep perspective that a lot IS his opinion. What a joke. Koepke was horrible. He was too busy throwing out his opinions, that he didn't cover the material. And then he acted like it was our fault that he didn't cover it all so he didn't let us pass in our last paper to boost up our grade! Mostly cause HE didn't want to grade! His words... I have nevergone on this website before but I deel it is my need to warn people of this teacher. Ive never had a problem with a teacher in my life and this is hands down the worst teacher I have ever had. Conspiracy theorist and he will shove it down your throat! If you value how u spend ur college funds, DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY
