Dr. Sharma gets a lot of hate but honestly in this last semester he saved my ass. Had a below average lecture prof and Sharma was the lab prof and went out his way all the time to offer help with LONCAPA and lecture questions, even on the day of the final. Such a gem if you show that you are willing to put in the work and you care about learning.

One of the nicest Professors you can meet. Genuinely concerned that you understand the material so long as you try and put in the effort, he will bend over backwards to help you. Very nice man too, explains things slowly and is very open to questions and is always very good at explaining his answers to them.

Dr Sharma gets a lot of unwarranted hate, but it is undeserved. He is clear, gives great lectures-although the textbook is all you need if you don't want to go-, is always there to give help, and is passionate about teaching. My advice is to practise every question you can, as you need to understand why the calculations are made. Just study hard.

I have to admit I thought I was in trouble the first couple of weeks in the course but If you focus on the assignments from lon capa his problems during class and lab work I guarantee you it'll end well. He's extremely helpful if you talk to him and constantly get help. I'd say the tests are tough only if you skip loncapa, rest is easy!

Dev Sharma is the worst teacher. He's very hard to understand, no ppt or notes. just overhead scribbles. pretty much screwed. lied to us about midterm being based on loncapa and class average was a fail. He told the class "It seems like none of you want to do well" and when we objected he just said "Oh so its my fault?" Yes, you taught nothing.

Dr. Sharma is a very helpful individual, he is willing to help you with any problem you may have with the course as long as you are willing to approach him for help. Exam questions come from his assignments and examples. Attend the class, ask him for help and I assure you that you will succeed.

highly suggest!!!! Awesome prof. Midterm and Final are mostly from loncapa and Online quizes!!!! And he handed out candy during the exams!!!!Make sure you attend every class so that you know what topics gonna be in the exams. He has a bit accent and speaks not loud enough. I suggest to sit at the front rows.

He's actually one of the few profs that i've had who will go over anything as many times as you want to make sure you understand what you're doing. To be honest this course can be difficult but coming to class asking questions doing loncapa and online quizzes will guarantee you at least an A-, if you make an effort to understand the concepts.

Dev, is a nice guy and will gladly go over anything if you ask him. However, as a lecturer, he is awful. His slides are terrible, and he can't relay material properly in a lecture setting.

The lecture component of the course was very straightforward. Dr. Sharma told us what was going to be on the exams, which had questions from loncapa and online quizzes from the textbook website. The lab portion of this course was somewhat difficult, as the lab manual was very vague. Lab prep is a must. Great professor, definitely recommended.

Dr. Sharma is one of the best chem profs ive ever had! He will explain things over and over to you if you dont understand them right away. His tests are easy as the questions come verbatim from the assigned homework. He always fills lectures with little interesting facts about daily life and how they relate to chem. I highley recommend him.

Hands down, the worst professor I've ever had at SFU. A. Chem is an interesting subject, and some of the concepts are quite challenging. Taking it with Dev will not benefit you at all. A course like this demands a teacher that is relatable and helpful. Dev, though a super nice and funny person, is the opposite of that. Sorry.

Dr. Sharma is one of the nicest profs you'll ever meet. Unfortunately, it's hard to understand him in lecture because of his accent and tendency to mumble. I had him for lecture and lab and I found him to be very helpful for the lab. Exams are hard because he doesn't give part marks. Try to avoid him for lectures if possible.

On the last day of class he gave us hints and told us what specifically would be on the exam, and most of those hints..he lied about them, making that exam really hard, and making us all fail. Make sure to study everything, expecially the labs, also the loncapa would help you understand the harder questions. Know ur formulas as well.

The only bad thing about him was the accent. Hes a nice prof, but if u start asking him "obvious" questions, then he will shake his head on u and make u look stupid. So he expects a lot. He was helpful in labs..exams were mostly fair, cept the final was random with a couple of hard Q, contained a lot of lab Q and also 3Q from the mt. Avgs were low.

Had Dr. Sharma for lab. He is very nice, funny and helpful. Yes, when asking him for help it can be hard to understand the words coming out. Be patience, his explanations actually helps. without sharma i would never have done well in lab.

Exams are fair, but he can be quite condescending especially when asked questions he deems to be simple. Also, when facing student's questions, he either doesn't really answer or he just drags his explanation on by mumbling and pausing. I had him for both lab and lecture... it wasn't a pleasant experience.

he's a nice guy and easy to talk to but asking him questions gets you now where. he belittles and degrades for not being able to ask his random questions. he looks at you shakes his head... mumbles something incomprehensible and walks away- uh thanks, that really cleared things up. the TA pretty much did all the work
