Dr. Halstead knows what she is talking about & makes class enjoyable. Your graded on 3 exams (non-cumulative), 1 easy presentation & 1 short paper. You have to study for the exams, but they are by no means impossible. Not an easy course, but not ridiculously tough. Offers easy extra credit once or twice throughout the semester.

She is the hardest grader. Her test questions come from the book and are over concepts that have not been taught in class. Her questions are also application questions and are not straight definitions. She takes attendance. Make sure you buy the book and read every single chapter. Or take someone else if possible. Way too tough for an elective.

Seemed a bit frazzled throughout the semester (forgot to return tests and papers on the days she said she would), but is very knowledgeable. The multiple choice ?'s can be tricky, but the essays are easy. She gave us 18-24 pts xtra credit for a trivia game we played, which really helped our grades.

I took her for Practi****in mktg and entrepreneurship. I loved this class...it was like an internship and I learned so much! She definitely makes you work hard and you have to earn your grade. If you are a marketing major, I definintely recommend you take Practi****in marketing and entrepreneurship!!

Very bad teacher. Worst i have ever had. Said she didnt have time to teach some of the chapters but they would still be on the test and they were. Test are essay and your grade depends on the mood she is in. Alot of material and she barely goes over it but wants indept answers on the test.

good teacher. lectures come pretty much straight out of the book. good at explaining things clearly and it's relatively easy to pay attention for the entire class. some test questions seem like they're designed to fool you though, so watch for those. nice lady and gives some extra credit.

This teach rocks! She explains things well and her lectures didn't put me to sleep. I recommend taking lots of notes. There is a lot of material to memorize, but reading the book really helps for the tests!

LOVED HER! Best professor I've had at UTC. As long as you show up to class, you'll do well. I had her for service's mkt and there were 3 MC tests straight from the notes with a presentation & a journal. She is EXTREMELY understanding, and very entertaining. Dr. Halstead knows her marketing, and I would definitely take her again.

Very unhelpful professor. She covers way to much material for her exams. Her exams are very hard and tricky. They are 50 multiple choice and she does not give a curve. Your grade in the class is based strictly on exams. She never returned my e-mails or phone calls. Horrible!!!!

Very unclear. Talked to the class like we were a bunch of slackers. This was supposed to be a small business entrepreneurship class and we never did anything but focus groups. It was supposed to be very valuable but turned out to be a waste. It was a very bif letdown. Teacher just never had it.

Very hot, great sense of humor, excellent teaching style, interesting lectures, very helpful, and upbeat exuberant professor, what more can a student ask for? If I was marketing i would take All my classes from her!
