Isn't the best teacher but you can make it through the semester. The midterm and final are on material that is not covered in class. There is enough extra credit to make up for the points lost on the tests. If you need a freshman seminar, take a different class that is more fun.

Do not take this class. FOR ALL INCOMING FRESHMAN. This man is a professor by title but cannot and does not act nor grade like one. My experience with him was less than pleasant. I never want to see this man again. He is rude and very judgmental. It is very obvious he has a straight-laced way of thinking. Grades wayyy to harshly. Don't take it.

Don Connelly is honestly one of the worst professors here on campus. Will count points off for YOUR opinion because it doesn't match his. Very vague when telling you what you done wrong. Will make smart remarks about you turning in a paper the night before it's due. NEVER WILL TAKE A CLASS BY HIM AGAIN! Worst professor ever .

He is very prideful about who he knows and all of his experience. I f this class was not mandatory I wouldn't waste my time with it because lets face it Radio is practically dead but no one told ole Don that. Just jump through his incredibly difficult hoops and do not miss class. He also has the most strict cell phone policy just a heads up!

Mr. Connelly is very unclear about course objectives and is entirely too tough for grading and gives no feedback (ex. you will have 20+ points taken off for a word that he would rather you use than the one you chose). He respects no opinion other than his own and will cut you off mid sentence. The work load is light but absolutely ridiculous.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! Don is the wort professor at Western by far. He does not care about the individual student and spends most of the class time telling the same story over and over again. You will learn nothing of use in his class all you will learn about is how awesome Don thinks he is. Its a shame we have professor like this at Western.

Don Connelly is the biggest judgmental liberal I have ever met and is not afraid to show that. The whole class is spent telling you how much your generation sucks and how he is awesome. He does nothing but bash conservatives and our generation. Most biased, terrible teacher at Western.

I made B's on every single test/quiz in his class. He knows what he is talking about and he's an interesting guy. Although he gave me a bad grade on participation when we had a 50+ person class and I was one of the few people he actually knew in the class. I emailed him about the grade and to plea my case and he didn't respond to my email.

Don Connelly is a great teacher and he knows what he is talking about. But you will hear the same stories over and over again so get used to them. YOU HAVE TO BE IN CLASS! Expects the best out of you but you basically take the class on your own. Doesn't teach what is on the mid term and you have to learn the computer software on your own.

Conelly is a great, knows his stuff and tries to make sure you know it too! He sometimes rambles, and tells the same stories a lot, but he is nice for the most part. He expects what you should expect of yourself. He is a lot nicer in upper level classes so I suggest taking them. He's also great about giving constructive critcism.

DonCon is a pretty good guy. He knows his stuff when it comes to Radio Production (he wrote the textbook for the class). He is not too harsh with his grading, but he expects you to treat class as if it is a job...in other words, BE THERE. Tests are easy, and radio projects aren't bad either. Just be there, listen well, and turn in things on time.

I've done well in every class i've taken with Connelly. He's a great professor and as my advisor he's been fantastic. Show up for class, Do your study guides, BE ON TIME and participate in class discussions and you'll do fine.

Very enjoyable class. He has a lot of experience in this field, so he knows what he's talking about. BUT be prepared to take a lot of notes on his lectures. And don't slack off on the weekly topic reports- they're a big part of your grade! Otherwise, The Don is a fair and witty man.
