I hated this class and this professor! He was rude during class and during his office hours. Actually dropped f bombs when referring to a paper which is inappropriate for a professor no matter what the paper was like! I do NOT recommend this professor to anyone!

Terrible professor, could be a cool guy but should not have a teaching degree. Constantly rambles on, doesn't give a clear cut description of what he wants, final exam is going to be ridiculous. Says he wants specifics on the papers, then says you're too specific so there is no way to please him. In short, avoid him at all costs.

He is the Worst professor i have ever had. Is always going off on tangents. He focuses way to much on the thesis. When you get your papers back he has written all over them! he always thinks he is right so if your opinon is different dont bother talking to him! wont help you on anything!! hates when people get up to go to thhe bathroom. VERY RUDE!!

Vanouse is my my favorite professor. His rants may have absolutely nothing to do with the subject but he somehow relates it back to the subject and it gives you a whole new perspective on your paper. He is very understanding about missing class, He's an easy grader if you know how to write a paper how he likes it, which is very easy to pick up.

Many people hate Vanouse. This is because they are bad at life. Vanouse is a very easy teacher, if he likes you. If he doesn't like you, you're gonna hate him. Swallow your pride and just make him happy. Participate in class a little and you'll be set. As long as your writing isn't terrible and you're nice to him, you should get a decent grade

Horrible. Everything bad sad about him is true.he is mildly amusing but that does not cancel out how horrible of a prof he is. All we do are papers which he shreds to pieces. Seems like a great class until after the drop time...Then it gets really really bad. He was late for the first month! He gets really dirty sometimes. Take ANYTHING else!

Dr. Vanouse uses foul, offensive language and behaves in an unprofessional and uncivilized manner - I wrote a letter to the dean of the dept. complaining abou the awful experience I had in Vanouse's course. He is rude and feels he is superior to students - avoid him at all costs.

He is by far the most erratic person i have ever met (his ramblings can be very funny though!). I did really well in the class, and slept through the majority of it, front and center. Basically, if you're good at faking interest and knowledge, and you seem like you don't despise him, and you can write an amazing thesis statement, you're golden.

Most definitely the worst professor in history. I'd rather kill myself than listen to this guy ramble on for 5 minutes. Not helpful at all to students, uninterested in anything they have to say. Only cares about listening to himself talk. Threatens students and their property. Whoever gave this guy a teaching degree was out of their minds!!!
