Don Wright is singly the best professor I have ever taken a class with. I have continued my interests in African and European history because of him. He is not easy, but his interest in his subject matter helped raise the level of discussion in class.

I had to take this class to finish my History degree. I was not interested in the subject. I was intimidated by Prof. Wright. But, it was easily the best learning experience I had in the History Dept. Dr. Wright is wonderfully clear and to the point. His tests were consistant with the material. Best teacher at Cortland next to Prof Judith Best.

I learned so much in this class, mainly because Professor Wright knows so much and has a passion for what he is doing. The work is hard, but listen to his advice because it makes sense. I actually miss his class because I learned so much...I would take him again in an instant!!

Knows more about the subject of African American history than all of my previous history teachers combined. You ask him a question, he as an anwer witin seconds. Very nice guy also. Class is demanding, but you will learn a lot.

i really liked this class, i found the lectures very interesting. it's the only history class i have liked and done well in. i personally didnt read the textbook, i dont think he has a textbook anymore, but anyways he gives enough information in the lectures.
