Professor Tougaw is my favorite professor at Valpo, and ECE100 is my favorite class I've taken so far. Tougaw absolutely loves what he's teaching and he fields questions expertly without making you feel dumb. ECE100 was a flipped classroom and I was worried that learning from a video would be hard, but he did an amazing job explaining everything.

Professor Tougaw is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Even if programming doesn't come naturally to you, you shouldn't struggle too much in this class, especially if you ask him for help when something is giving you trouble. He offers extra credit on a lot of his homework assignments and his tests are open note.

He's a great guy and loves his job which makes the best kind of teachers. The Class i took was a seminar (just sit in and listen with no tests or quizzes) but he was very understanding if you forgot homework or if you were sick even with attendance being necessary. Overall Great Guy !!!
