Write down every single thing he says in lecture. Study your notes from lecture and you will get an A. You barely use the book unless you don't understand a concept. He is a strange fellow, but you can tell he is passionate about what he teaches. Go to every class or you will fail.

Dr. Gayou is an awesome professor, and he really knows what he's talking about. You MUST go to class, or you will be completely lost. Also, write anything and everything down that he says- you'll probably see it on an exam! As long as you attend class, take good notes, and study , you'll do fine! Oh, and don't buy the book- you'll never use it!

He is a really good professor although some people don't think so. You have to go to class, take good notes on the lectures, he doesn't use powerpoint he just speaks, but if you take notes on everything he says, study that, you will get an A. His tests are directly from what he says in lectures so pay attention. He is really funny and kind of goofy

The key to this class is to write down everything he says and to simply memorize your notes. No need for a textbook and he rarely makes you apply knowledge on tests. Gayou is incredibly energetic which makes the class go by fast. His lectures are usually pretty clear.

Make sure to go to every lecture. METICULOUS notetaking is the key to this class. Unfortunately, you will do a lot of studying of the lectures, but you will score high in the class if you go, take EVERYTHING he says down, and study. He puts things ont he test that he only said once. I only missed questions where I had less than great notes. NO BOOK

Very good lecturer. But you have to go to every lectureget notes from a few different friends in order to do well on the tests. Some questions are even: "What was being discussed during lecture when Dr. Gayou was talking about XYZ?" Overall, very interesting class. He is very passionate about Biology and his lectures are extremely interesting.

Gayou is a great teacher. Don't bother with the book, I never once opened it. The tests are entirely from the lectures. If you don't attend lecture, you will have a rough time with this class. But if you show up, take good notes, and study, the class will be no problem. I found the lectures fairly interesting, and Gayou is a nice guy.

Dr. Gayou is an exceptional professor. His lectures are very interesting because he gets very into it and likes to be dramatic. Do not miss class! All the tests are straight from the notes. write everything down he says. sometimes he has interesting side stories, write it down! Do not buy the book. I did not and I did well.

This professor was not easy to work with at all when I went to get help. The tests were impossible to pass because they had questions that he never even went over in the class. To do remotely well you would have to attend every lecture and write every word down out of his mouth, and even then you'd be lucky to receive a C.

DO NOT TAKE HIM especially if you want to maintain a good gpa. This class is so hard, you literally have to go to every single lecture and write down every single word to do well on the exams and even then, he puts stuff on there that he hasn't even covered. SAVE YOURSELF

GREAT PROFESSOR! He challenges you but not to the point where you can't achieve. Work hard and study hard and you'll do great. Attend EVERY class because when he notices there are a lot of people missing he makes sure he puts that lecture on the test. Dr. Gayou kept every bio class interesting. I laughed almost every time I attended a class!!

hands down one of the best classes I've ever taken! Don't listen to the bad reviews. His handwriting is perfectly clear, and the way he lectures is hilarious and different. He keeps your attention for the entire lecture and actually makes into to biology interesting. I went to class every single day was excited. TAKE GAYOU'S CLASS!!

DO NOT TAKE BIO WITH THIS PROFESSOR! I got all A's & failed his class all in the same semester, which shows how awful of a teacher he is. Everything is based off of his lectures which consist of him writing a word on the chalk board & then having a whole discussion about it. His writing is hard to read & the class is only based off of 4 exams.

Great professor! Attending class is absolutely mandatory because his tests are completely lecture-based. Don't buy the book, I didn't even open it. Write down everything he says because it's all fair game for the tests. He's hilarious and teaches the class with great enthusiasm. I hate biology and he made Bio 1010 my favorite class.
