Like the person above me wrote, she expects way too much out of a comp 2 class. She is helpful during her office hours and is lenient, but you have to make the effort to go see her. If you don't like writing and really don't care if you're any good at it, then don't sign up for this class.

This teacher expects so much for a Comp 2 class. She even makes you do oral presentations which I hated, if I wanted to do that I would have been a communications major. She makes you do a lot of reading and she gives pop quizzes. She was nice and gives a little leeway on assignments during her office hour. If you LOVE writing take her.

she has a weird grading system, and has a hard time explain things. if you can write well, your okay to go, but if you are one of those writers who thinks "out side of the box" or just cant write...good luck. you have to read every day, boring stuff, but if you turn in your work and go along with her weird views, you'll do A okay

She is sooooo picky with writing. I write "ok" and passed WRC 1013 with an A, but Spangler marks up papers with 10 lbs. of ink. Plus you can't read her handwriting.

If you don't write well you won't do well. I had her for argumentative writing (Discourse) & she is a very good teacher who will help you with your writing if need be. However, some feel she is biased, but if you grow up & overlook that, attend class & write well you'll do fine. I did & got an A.

Very opinionated, Only interested in her point of view, if she dosen't like your points of views in your papers she grades harder. She is pretty much a female dog if you know what I mean and on top of that she isn't helpfull. I haven't learned one thing in her class this semester.

I took one of Spangler's courses during the summer. I found her class disorganized (we were perpetually behind schedule), biased (she does not welcome viewpoints other than her own), and unnecessarily difficult. Overall, a poor, self-absorbed professor.

Extreme lack of compassion for students. She only uses obscure quotes from works for her tests and really doesn't explain things very well. I would not recommend her.
