Schenck is very approachable outside of class. He remembers students after having them in class. He makes the class easy and lectures easy to understand. He is fascinated by Scripture and wants us to be too.

Excellent teacher considering that the class is much too short to be able to learn Hebrew properly. Gives excellent basics instruction. Don't let the class scare you--he mostly wants to ensure you are trying. Little time to be a picky grader so mostly participation grades. VERY funny and personable; don't miss his live video lessons.

If you haven't figured it out yet, the whole campus thinks this man is brilliant. Great sense of humor, open mind, knowledgeable about most subjects under the sun, and makes you look forward to going to his class in the morning. Took 2 semesters of both Latin and Greek as well as his honors NT Survey. Take this prof as often as possible. Brilliant.

Schenck is hilarious! He makes class time go by so fast because one he is hilarious, but two he is an excellent teacher. He makes class interesting and enjoyable. The only criticism is that his assignments are a little too easy. Other than that definitely take classes with Schenck. He is amazing!

Let's face it, philosophy is not everyone's cup of tea (it's not mine, anyway). But if you take it with Schenck, it's not nearly as bad. He is incredibly smart and incredibly funny. He is extremely fair in his grading, which is awesome. I loved the Deep Thoughts! A good prof to have for philosophy.
