Dr. Lordan will make you work for your grade. It's not an easy A. I highly recommend going to his office hours if you have difficult questions because the chapters he assigns can be difficult to comprehend. As long as you show up to every class, participate, read, and do well in all of the assignments you will do well in the class.

Def my favorite professor at WCU and I'm a senior. I have had him for multiple classes and he doesn't give A's easily, but as long as you STUDY and PARTICIPATE in class, you'll do fine. He cares about his students and wants you to do well. 2 tests (study the textbook vocab), one extensive group project, and one individual project (easy). TAKE DR. L

Dr. Lordan is a great guy and he's entertaining. His teaching style is weird. he doesn't really teach he just reads off the slides then opens it up for discussion. I can't learn from discussion based type of classes. don't take him if you're not a learn on your own type of person. lots of reading, the good thing is there is no homework.

the class was pretty interesting but the tests were very hard because they covered a lot of material and he would pull random questions straight from the book. definitely read every single chapter and study, especially the terms in bold, or you will fail! takes attendance every class. engages the students so it's not boring though

Lordan is one of the best teachers in the entire department! I learned a lot about PR from him. He's a tough teacher but he's really good. His tests are very hard so make sure you really study for them at least a week in advance. Defenitly take him if you want to learn a lot about the PR field.

I'll be blunt. Homework due every week online, you can either get a 0 or a 100. Tests are 25% of your grade EACH. Attendance is checked every single class. Yes, even in a class of 200 students. Mumbles and forgets his microphone so you cannot understand anything he is saying. Uploads PPTs, but all that is on the slide is a pictures without words.

I liked Dr. Lordan a lot- but the setup of the class might not be ideal if you don't like studying on your own. Lectures were more of a supplement to the book to help you understand concepts, and the tests focused on book material. I loved the lectures though- very interesting and involved. Definitely read the textbook though- you wont pass w/o it.

Really nice guy but I didn't like how the class was set up. The lectures were all discussion based so it was hard to fully learn material. Connect HW every week but if you did it, easy A. only 15% of grade though. Tests were so hard!! I studied so much and never got higher then a B. You really just need to teach your self the material and re read.

Dr. Lordan is horrible. The notes he gives you don't help. His lectures consist of asking questions based on discussions that he wants to have. His exams fully reflect the book and nothing about his lectures. In terms of learning the material, that is all done on your own. But his attendance policy makes you go to class. Very boring.

Dr. Lordan's Public Relations class is so interesting and despite the fact that the tests and project are difficult, he truly gets his students prepared for jobs by expecting the best. He is a professor that really cares about his students' success after college. Buy the book and stay engaged during his lectures.

Learned so much from his class- offers a lot of knowledge on the topics. To get good grades on the tests re-read the chapters that he specifies and try to relate them to the lectures. Make sure you know the vocabulary!

Always get A's? Meet the class you will get a B in. Two major test, one massive group project & participation makes up your grade . If you come to class every day & raise your hands a couple of times but take notes on your computer he will give you 80% in participation.. His tests are hard & the massive group project is challenging. but he is nice

Dr. Lordan has been my favorite Comm. professor so far. He is passionate about all the classes he teaches and truly inspires students to try their hardest. It is definitely not an easy A, but he pushes you to your full potential. You will learn a lot through his discussion based classes. Papers are toughly graded, and make sure your STUDY!!

Dr. Lordan is one of the best in the department. Classes are somewhat tough, in that you have a good bit of regular reading to do so that you can pass the tests. His assignments aren't too bad, even the big semester project that everyone talks about. Bottom line: you will learn, and he's a good person to know. It doesnt get much better than Lordan.

Dr. Lordan does a great job teaching Public Relations by incorporating projects you'd see working in this field. He is known for his big group project at the end of the semester and two difficult exams. Be sure to keep up with the latest news, it'll be on exams and discussed in class everyday. Definitely take if this course if interested in PR!

Dr. Lordan is great and personable professor. He may seem intimidating at first but he is very helpful when you need it. You will need to read and be aware of the material assigned because his class is solely based on discussion and minimal lectures. He is also someone who can help you if you need career advice.

Dr. L is a great guy, but he's not going to hand you your grade on a silver platter. Expect to have to work for it. Plain and simple. He's an incredibly smart professor, and probably my favorite here in the COM department. If you're struggling, he answers e-mails as quick as texts and he's reliably at his office hours. He's also very funny.

One of the smartest and nicest professors at WCU. But also a VERY tough professor. His guidelines aren't very specific and he doesn't really teach at all in class (he just holds open discussions related to the material). But this is the point, he wants to get you asking questions and seeking the information yourself. He challenges you a lot

He gets you asking the right questions. This class helped me form a perspective of a PR mind. I feel more prepared after taking this class. Lectures get off topic and barely align with the textbook. Keep up with readings and be active in class and it'll be worth it.
