DO NOT TAKE HIM! If you are looking for a A or B, be prepared to teach yourself. He is VERY HARD to understand. Unless you read the book or have some kind of masterful chemistry knowledge already, you will NOT do good on his tests. READ THE BOOK! Can I say that any more? That book was my teacher. He does curve some tests and offer extra points.

Lindley is a nice teacher who is ALYWAYS willing to help, but you have to put in the effort too. Read the sections for the lecture beforehand and take your own notes before Lindley goes over the material in class. His tests are based off of his lectures! If your having trouble ask for HELP instead of complaining about your grade. Grow up people!

Dr. Lindley is the nicest person you will ever meet. However his lectures are very boring and hard to follow along. The tests are very difficult and many times it will be material that isn't in the reviews.

i agree w/ some other ppl--he's definitely a nice guy...as for teaching, he's HORRIBLE. Lectures are monotone, disorganized & hardly helpful unless you can decipher his code. Tests are impossible--class averages were D's & F's most of the time. As a transfer, i left the class not feeling prepared for UCD. If you have to take him...good luck!

I think Dr. Lindley is an excelent instructor. Many people do not share this opinion. I suggest only taking Dr. Lindley's course if you are serious about learning Chem, otherwise don't bother. Dr. Lindley will go out of his way to help you if you need it. He is very dedicated to helping students learn Chem. I am very grateful to have had Dr. L

Be prepared to teach yourself chemistry, and it is not easy. His lectures are so hard to follow because he jumps around so much. His tests are the hardest that I have ever had to take, but the class is passable if you can teach yourelf the material. The labs are fun, but that is about it. He is really nice, but he can't teach.

Lindley is the most confusing guy in all of FCC, he likes to just read power point and provides little help or preparation for tests since his problems do not relate to class at all. I do not care if he is nice or not, the guy can't teach.

His exams are very difficult. He does not grade on a curve, and is really not interested in the progress of his students. As a person, he seems like a cool, funny but nerdy guy, but I do not recommend taking him for any Chem course. Hope this helps you.

This professor confuses me alot. He likes to go off subject. He'd try to answer one of the questions and right before he finishes, he'd bring in a whole other subject. Sometimes, i think he's lost it (or doesn't know what he's talking about). He tend's to make things more complicated than it is.

His soft-spoken, deliberate lecture tactics can make an already long class period seem interminable, but Dr. L is very approachable and an all around nice guy.
