Comment:

This was the absolute worse professor ever. She is absolutely horrible and she is just a disgrace to the school. She has a bathroom rule where in a hour and 20 min class, she allows you five minutes when she chooses to use the bathroom. If you do not know every speck and every detail of citation she will say you plagiarized and threaten to report.

The worst professor I have every had. She talks a lot about how her life was so hard and acts like everyone else's lives are so much easier than hers. This extremely condescending. Her feedback is not helpful and her directions are confusing.

Nice lady, but not a good professor. Currently in the First Year Seminar class with her and she treats the class like we're still in high school. Time to stop babying people and let them handle things on there own.

Nice lady, horrible professor. We literally have 23 pages of instructions. This is absurd. We have 3 weeks to go in the semester, and, she has yet to give us one grade back. Her email responses come off as cold and snotty. Don't take her. Nice lady, so I feel bad giving her a bad review, but she is not a good teacher.

Dr. Gradel is a nice person, overall. But as a teacher, I would NOT recommend her. She assigns way too much work, especially when everyone has 4 other classes to take along with lives of their own. She's very hard on you if you don't do exactly what she asks, and don't bother asking for help over e-mail...she will tell you to ask another student.

Piles of work that she somehow expects you to finish in a few days, despite taking four other classes. Not helpful and I had no idea what she was talking about, not for lack of trying. Email doesn't help since she tells you to ask someone else. If you can avoid her classes, do it.

I do not reccomend taking online classes with this professor the assignments are jumbled and frustrating. Her return rate on work is slow and she does not seem to care as much about the class as throwing tons of links and pdf's at you which quickly become confused. This class is atrocious and i feel i have learned nothing.

Great!Dr. Gradel's SUNY Award for Excellence in Teaching is well deserved. She goes the extra mile to ensure we have access to course material (online),is accessible to give additional help, will preview assignments & allow us to re-do it if we don't get it right. She has high standards but helps us reach them if we are willing to do the work.

I strongly believe that she is misunderstood. I took 2 courses with her. The first course I disliked because I didn't understand what she expected or how she graded. The second course I loved because there was a method to her madness. I received very high grades in that class because of all help she provided. She also wrote the best recommendation.

Worst professor. Literally, I have never been more stressed with a class in my life. She saves everything for the last 2 weeks, and I learned basically nothing. She really is a sweet person, and I feel bad giving her this ratiing, but I definitely do not recommend her as a teacher to anyone. EVER.

NEVER TAKE AN ONLINE CLASS WITH HER! I can't say what she's like in the classroom, but taking an online class with her is possibly the most stressful thing I've ever done. The work isn't clear and she assumes that you know a lot more than you do about bizarre technology assistants. She is also incredibly condescending in her emails.

she was the best teacher i have had at Fredonia. i recommend her to EVERYONE. i have no idea why anyone would dislike her, she is friendly, concerned with the students' success and she uses the classroom management techniques she teaches everyday. I learned so much from her and she made it fun. If you have to take 349 definitely take it with Gradel

HORRIBLE! I feel like i need to retake the class with a qualified professor, because I don't feel prepared to take the ATS-W. I learned NOTHING. She had VERY poor classroom management and was INCREDIBLY inconsistent in her grading policies. Each day, 1/2 of our class was spent redoing the syllabus, and she was distracting & arrogant. JUST DON'T!!!!

Without a doubt - the worst teacher I have ever dealt with. Grading policy makes no sense, she blabbers on about nothing for hours at a time and grades based off of if she likes you or not - nothing more. I learned absolutely nothing from her and felt like my time was being wasted every minute I was in that room.

Dr. Gradel is a wonderful professor and person. She is extremely personable and doesn't have that "I'm a Ph.D know-it-all" attitude like many faculty members. I highly recommend any class with her!
