Prof. Whitaker is the sweetest person ever. You'll have weekly writing assignments but they're only simple 2 page papers on very broad topics that are easy to BS. She grades you off of your personal improvement and not compared to others. All work except for final paper gets 100 for completion. If you're not lazy it's an easy A

Worst teacher ever, toughest grader, strange assignments, one paper was to write about a quinceanera we had been to and relate it to this story, i don't think anyone in my class has ever actually been to a quinceanera. Very old school, tough, just stay away, unless your already pro writer shell crush you. retook this course diff teach got an A

Very nice lady. She does not tell you what to do for homework EVER so you must read the syllabus. If you at least write something down for the homework and pass it in it is an easy A. email her your papers before the deadline as many times as you want and she will correct it until it's perfect. easy A

She is very vague and it's hardtop decipher what she really wants to say. But there is only ungraded writing (answering questions to essays) then 6 graded essays. So that can be good or bad. But, she is a very nice, war hearted lady. I would take her again. Just make sure you have patience.

she might have been a good teacher in her day but to be honest i hated the class. she doesnt realize how much reading shes giving us. she is very unclear abt the assignments. expected us to read a book in a week and a half. so if you have other stuff to do, and u cant spend a lot of time reading, dont take her.

She has a very hard time really knowing what she wants and explaining it. Has quite a few stereotypical comments which can be offensive, but I don't think she realizes it. You can redo your papers but theres just about at least one due every week so it's tough. Try to avoid her if you talk back a lot.

She is the nicest lady ever! Class can be kind of dull at times, but she really tries to engage students. It will be a lot more enjoyable if you keep up with the reading. She grades essays very fairly, and allows rewrites. Take her! One of my favorites!

So, I hate English, but this lady is really cool. She's kind of crazy, but she definitely cares about her students and wants them to learn and improve. I definitely did. You have to go to class, but it's not that hard. She usually gives you most of the questions for the midterm and final, and you can use your notes, so the tests are mad easy.

All around excellent teacher. Very nice, very helpful. Teaches students how to write good papers. Anyone who rated her bad just doesn't know how to write, which is about 98% of the Fairfield University population. If you write like a 14 year old (which you do), don't use teachers as your scapegoat.
