This class was a waste of my time and energy. Streeter is nice, but he is boring and drones on forever. His lectures are a waste of time (the exams are reading based), but if you skip class or any assignment you can't pass the course. The readings are all dreadfully long and the exams are unnecessarily difficult. DO NOT take this course.

This class was an unfortunate waste of time and money. It was poorly structured, unnecessarily difficult, and dreadful to sit through. I took it as an elective thinking it would be interesting, and that was a huge mistake!

Unbelievably bad. Not helpful, and a completely unfair grader. Would literally ramble about something completely random and irrelevant from course material for the entire lecture.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. I thought it was going to be interesting and instead it was the dullest class I have taken. His exams are based completely on the reading and are extremely difficult. On numerous occasions did students ask questions and he responded with I don't know or he offended someone without even realizing it

I took this class with Streeter spring semester last year and it was fairly difficult. He did try to get the students involved in some discussions, but most were not paying attention or didn't care to participate. Although the class can seem difficult, he is one of the most helpful, approachable professors i've met with, even as a SOC major.

I actually really enjoyed the class, the subject matter was interesting to me. Be careful on exams though, They're extremely reading-oriented. As long as you do the readings you'll do perfectly fine in the class

It shouldn't take three weeks to hand back small papers in a class of less than twenty. It also shouldn't be too hard to learn your students names by the end of the semester. And to top it all off, if one wants to get paid to teach, one must be PREPARED--he came into class opening his book not even knowing what he wanted to speak on. Unbelievable

Unlike the other students who commented, me and my classmate here find Streeter to be an engaging professor. He's knowledgeable and passionate about what he lectures if not a little long-winded at times. It appears that his teaching style isn't for everyone, but he frames his lectures in an interesting philosophical way and is a very bright guy.

Streeter is a nice enough guy, but incredibly lazy. It took him an unreasonable amount of time to return a 4page paper, we didn't get it back for over a month, and it took him at least 2 weeks to return a scantron exam. His lectures are incredibly boring, and he repeats the same information class after class.

I don't have anything against Prof. Streeter, but he is so, so, so dull. It would've been easy to ace this class if I was able to pay attention to his lectures. Instead I did crosswords. I missed so many classes and had absolutely no interest. Nice, Christian Slater look alike dude, but not worth it.

I do not have respect for this professor. As others say, his class is lecture based but his exams come from the book and he does not prepare you for them. He is openly democratic and shoves liberal views down your throat through his lectures, I am a republican and was offended on more than one occasion.

This class was not that great. His lectures are really hard to follow and the exams are very difficult..not to mention he doesn't prepare you for the exams at all. You definitely have to read the book b/c a lot of the exam questions are from it. Other than that he's a nice guy..kind of weird but he means well. I do not reccomend this course.
