Rough class but all Chem is @ Allegheny. Not the most knowledgeable but once you learn how to take the test you can come out with a fairly good grade. Very nice person but hard grader especially on labs.

This is class is very difficult if you don't already have a strong basic chem background. Lectures are often based only on examples, not on explanations. Prof. Guldan is super nice, but the class was overall difficult.

Comment:

Guldan is one of the nicest professors I've had. Most lectures were clear and easy-to-understand, and she was always available during office hours. The online-Sapling homework was helpful for understanding concepts, but the test questions were usually a lot more difficult (she gives good partial credit though). Tough post-lab grading though

Comment:

Professor Guldan is a sweet heart, if you are concerned about taking chem110 or Chem112 than take her. She always is there to help and is willing to give time during class to work on homework. Exams can be difficult but if you average out a C on her exams than you will easily pass. Homework, prelabs, and post lab papers are a must to complete.

I had Prof. Guldan for both Chem 120 and 122. She was awesome and very smart. Some of her noteslectures can be a bit confusing, but if you ask questions or go to her for help she explains everything to you in such an understanding way. Her tests were somewhat difficult, but if you study you can easily get an B or even an A. Highly recommend her!

She is a goddess! I didn't know it was possible to love a professor this much! She teaches so well and I have learned the most chemistry that will for sure be helpful in my future. If it were possible, I would put her in my pocket so I cold keep her with me the rest of my college career. SHE IS BRILLIANT!

I took both 110 and 112 with Dr. Guldan. In my opinion, she's a great person who will give you tons of help if you just ask for it. Her lectures are a bit confusing, but it helps to read the book. I really enjoyed her tests because they made me think in ways I hadn't thought before, but a lot of people had trouble with them. I would recommend her.

I had her for both Chem 110 and 112. She's a genius, which sometimes makes her lectures a little difficult to understand at first. I had to work hard in this class, but it's a Chem class so that's understandable. Go to her office hours, see the tutors and you will be Golden!

Very good professor, if you don't understand something, go to her office hours..shes VERY helpful! Personally I think her lectures are clear, and straightfoward, you just have to pay attention and take notes..good teaching style also! :-) I highly recomend!

Very nice lady, HORRIBLE professor. She means well but lecture notes are very unorganized and many times completed example problems wrong. Very confusing and forced you to rely on the book and tutors to learn most of the material.
